MIAMI -- An officiating mistake negated Ben Roethlisberger's late fumble at the goal line, and the Pittsburgh Steelers kicked the game-winning field goal on the next play Sunday to beat the Miami Dolphins.
One play earlier, with Pittsburgh trailing 20-19 and facing third-and-goal at the Miami 2, Roethlisberger fumbled the ball as he dived across the goal line on a quarterback draw. The play was ruled a touchdown as both teams scrambled for the loose ball in the end zone.

After a replay review, referee Gene Steratore announced that Roethlisberger had fumbled before scoring. But Steratore said his crew had no clear evidence as to which team recovered the ball, so the Steelers were awarded possession at the half-yard line, allowing Reed to kick the winner.

You for got so many calls NOT called on the dolphins.

People, please! Watch the replay Ben's helment landed on the ball. The ball was OUT. Can't recover a down ball. They didn't give him the touchdown even though it was at the line, so what are you b*t*hing about? Then you have a chance to come back and score....what happen??? Oh, that's right D shut you down cold. Don't blame ref, you just don't have talent....not ref's fault.

"Not awarding Miami the fumble recovery is a convenient way to overlook a few issues that allowed the game to be decided by one bad break:

* Poor red zone offense.

* Poor two-minute offense.

* Poor third-down defense."
