Jets Coach Suspended, Fined For Tripping 34min

Full story: My58.com

Turns out this was one costly trip for Sal Alosi. The New York Jets assistant coach who tripped a Miami Dolphins player during a game was suspended by the team Monday night without pay for the rest of the season, including the playoffs, and fined an additional $25,000. Alosi, the strength and conditioning coach, began serving his suspension ...

I don't see what the big deal is about this. First of all, why is that player three yards into the Jets sideline to begin with? Get on the field (as the rules state you should) and you don't have to worry about that kind of stuff. Secondly, the coach barely moved his leg. It's not like he stuck his entire leg out. He just bent his knee a little. And then the player acted like he just took a major hit. Wow....talk about much ado about nothing.

And I'm neither a Jets nor a Dolphins fan. Just calling it like it is -- which is nothing.

BS alert.....

This piece of $hit should have been "tripped" in the parking lot by a couple of fans.

There is absolutely no place in professional football for a staff member to be getting physically involved with the players in the game.

He should be permanently barred from any activity, affiliation, or contact with NFL teams.

there ia already enough immaturity from the players, don't need even one instance of immaturity from team staff members.

Why is the freakin strength close so close to the sideline or even on the sideline? He's gonna give aid if there's a field injury? Or is he just gonna cause an injury?

Don't worry Rex Ryan will pick up the fine and give Sal a raise. He was only following orders from the New Jersey Jet brain trust; they worked on that play all week.

The Jets are in a slump, and simply needed all the help they could get.

If the Jets fire Sal Alosi then I like to see the Patriots hire him just to slap the the New York Football Jets in the face again. There is alot more important matters for the NFL to be concerned about other then what happens on the side line during a game when the refs should be in control.
