I guess Lerner joins Gilbert in OMG's ring of honor. To bad cheap a$$ Rooney didn't make any moves - the end is near - for Browns ineptitude and steelers momentary upswing.

Lerner has gone out and spent money. WOW !!! I am impressed. He's not a cheap A$$, only a DUMB_A$$. He traded away the top 3 draft picks of the Browns so he gets no new blood next season to develop the team from the draft unless he trades BQ or DA for draft picks. Unfortunately, the players he signed will not help the Browns make the playoffs any better then they did last season.
Meanwhile, the STEELERS have taken the high road by not signing any of the over priced free agents who couldn't help their team. They will be drafting the players they need to fill their holes. Smart move. They also are improving the grass field for their stadium so it's ready for next season. Rooney knows how to run a team for the long term and win super bowl championships regulary.
Thanks OMG. I have not laughed that hard in a long time!

Bunglin Ben is gonna look fabulous pancaked under Corey Williams. He will go unblocked by a non existent Squeeler O Line. This is going to be even more fun than watching Joe Turkey Jones piledrive Terry Bradshaw.

Time will tell. The Browns definitely, need to stop the run. Since, expansion came back to Cleveland, the Browns never stopped the run. That is why I quit watching this year. Plus all those losses to the Steelers. Couch was 3-4 against the Steelers, that made me happy.

Isn't it odd, the Steelers are trying to renegotiate with Rothlischoker?? They don't want to be showed up by the Browns the last few days. They lost 2 Free Agents already.

The moves the Browns made on offense were more impressive than the defense, atleast for now. Trades for picks are situations where teams are willing to part ways with a player for other possabilities. The offensive moves, are almost a sure bet to enhance the overall team output. If the defensive moves work out it just makes it twice as good.

I like the additions to the D-line. Kind of mixed feelings on the Stallworth signing. The Browns definitely need to add some depth at corner after sending Bodden to Detroit.

Sorry Browns fans; but ya'll just got jobbed on this Williams deal. He's a backup guy at best; there's a reason he was drafted in the sixth round. Management also made a bad move financially as he shouldn't have merited the kind of money he'll be paid.

I haven't been able to think this honestly in almost 20 years but here it is - the Browns are the best team in their division!

By the way - the Steelers haven't won a championship since 1980. It doesn't count when the refs win the game.

The Browns are very active which shows they believe they can win now... I like the moves... now we need just need to address the secondary. I'm also interested to know what progress Bentley and Baxter have made and if they are expected to be ready to go come preseason time?

Not to many d lineman in FA this year so Corey was in demand,so the Packers fran. him. with the intent of getting something for him.He was a backup in GB in the rotation, but hes pretty athletic,a good run stopper, decent pass rusher.Im not sure hes worth the money Cleveland threw at him,but he was the benefit of being the best FA d lineman,so he commanded top dollar which Cleveland was willing to give him,so both teams won in this case Good Luck next year CLeveland, hope all goes well

Cleveland has made some nice moves, you never now how good they are until the season starts but I like them so far. A week ago I thought it would be great to get Stallworth and somehow get Rogers, and they both happened. I think Crennel will be able to help both develop into good consistent players. Old Man Grump, take a look at the guys in the draft this year. There isn't much there to address there needs on defense so making the trades was a great way to go. If they need to draft an OL then maybe keep the picks, but they don't need to draft OL, they need DL. The steelers need OL so they keep their picks this year, the Browns need DL so they trade thier picks for the DL that can help them. You are a smart one OMG. Go be grumpy somewhere else. Go Browns!!!

I really like what Savage has done the last couple years. I would rather have Brady Quinn, Corey Williams, and Shaun Rogers, than a 1st, 2nd, 3rd round pick in this years draft. I believe those three players will have much more of an impact then the picks would. Also like the Stallworth signing, it upgrades an already pretty good receiving corp. Going to be hard to double team Edwards or Winslow, with Stallworth's speed. Joe Jurvericus makes a real nice 3rd wideout, possession type receiver.

Browns will win the division this year.

fyi,

Rothlesberger signed for 8 years and 102 million!!

John That does sound like an inpressive passing game.Savage seems to be a good GM,so like anything else, just wait and see what happens.A few injuries and the dream is gone for the year.

supposedly he signed a $102million contract. That is WAY TOO much for him. Losing 1st round to the Jags gets you a raise like that. I wish I could f' up a project or something and get a raise like that. Nope, I would be fired for not producing in the crunch. Not athletes though!!
