10. The team is on board with Coach Cable; they didn't quit on him when the season seemed lost last year...the 5-11 finish could've easily been 3-13.
9. Jamarcus Russell finally started connecting with some WRs rather than just RBs Michael Bush, Darren McFadden and Zach Miller the TE when youngsters Chaz Schilens and Johnnie Lee Higgins became the startters. Now with the additions of Darius Heyward-Bey and Louis Murphy, that gives him two more young targets plus Arman Shields should be ready to show what he's got after his injury as a rookie.
8. Mario Henderson provided the needed protection at LT and was never penalized and new aquisition Khalif Barnes oughta solidify the RT position as Robert Gallery and Cooper Carlisle already have the guard positions locked in and John Wade and Sampson Satele will battle it out at Center.
7. Tyvon Branch will be back from his rookie injury after showing lots of promise the first half of his rookie season and Mike Mitchell will compliment him greatly at the other safety position like "Assassin" Jack Tatum did George "The Animal" Atkinson.
6. Defensive coordinator John Marshall is a much better defensive coach for the 4-3 than Rob Ryan and oughta have our DL in line to stop the run.
5. All Pros Nnamdi Asomugha and Shane Lechler got the deals they deserve and will return to the pro bowl, plus I believe a few others might make their first pro bowl appearances.
4. Coach Cable accuratley studied all his draft picks and and compared them to other potential canidates and gave the most detailed explaniations of why he chose who he chose than any NFL coach I have ever seen (like what kind of scheme did their college teams play and how did it compare to the Raider schemes).
3. Special Teams on the Raiders is probably the most elite unit in the NFL. Higgins returned 3 punts for TDs and J Miller returned 2 kickoffs for TDs and they each are capable of gettinmg the offense good field position. Plus Shane Lechler's all pro style punting will pin opponents deep in their own territory and Sebastian Janikowski's leg is powerful and hopefully he can maintain accuracy.
2. The Running game has been our strength for a good while and with Michael Bush and Darren McFadden, we oughta have a good 1-2 punch for years to come plus veteran Justin Fargas has a motor that won't quit until he's injured and out for the season (or a good part of it). Bush has the power and speed needed to be a successful all around running back and McFadden has great speed for a change of pace back and can also play a slot receiver.
1. This here's the biggest thing for me and I think has been our biggest problem since our last superbowl appearance and that is that Coach Cable, Al Davis, the rest of the coaching staff, and all the players are on the same page. The trust and confidence is there and after the way we finished the season, everybody believes that we are on our way back to our winning ways.

10. Youthful upgrade in receiving game helped at the end of last year and with the new additions from the draft, it will help even more.
9. Mario Henderson stepped up late at the end of last season at LT and new aquisition Khalif Barnes ought fill out the OL at RT
8. New Defensive Coordinator DL coach and LB coach oughta be able to help the DL & LBs stop the run better.
7. All pro Nnamdi Asomugha got the deal he deserves and Chris Johnson compliments him well at the other corner. Second year safety Tyvon Branch is a solid hitter and rookie Mike Mitchell will compliment that well
6. All Pro punter Shane Lechler can pin opponents deep and PK Sebastian Janikowski has the leg strength and hopefully can keep good accuracy.
5. Our last 2 draft classes have shown great potential and hopefully this years will do the same.
4. Jamarcus Russell has better confidence in the OL protecting him and WRs catching passes rather than just RBs Michael Bush, Darren McFadden and Zach Miller the TE.
3. The return game is the most elite in the NFL and will give the offense good field position and even put 30 points on the board for us last year.
2. The running game is solid when utilized. Michael Bush is a bruiser and has the breakaway speed and quick feet to compliment it. Darren McFadden has great breakaway speed as well as quick feet and can also play a slot receiver. Justin Fargas is the veteran of the bunch and is very knowledgeable of the playbook and has a motor that won't quit
1. The entire team is on the same page; that includes Al Davis, the coaching staff, and all the players. The team trust is there and after the way we finished the season last year, they all believe in each other and know that we are capable of winning football games.

Actually Dr Death was Skip Thomas, but I know what you mean.

That was probably the most solid secondary we ever had
"Assassin" Jack Tatum at SS
George "The Animal" Atkinson at FS
"Old Man" Willie Brown at LC
"Dr Death" Skip Thomas at RC
