The intensity was ratcheted up on day two of the Oakland Raiders minicamp. However, there was also a definitne sloppiness in evidence at times.

Well, it looks like day 2 was ugly, but it's all part of getting back into the swing of things.

What do you guys think about signing Lorenzo Neal? He seems like good veteran leadership. He quoted "It's not about Lorenzo Neal, It's about what I can do to make the Raiders better." Sounds like good veteran leadership and team first mentality like Tom Cable is all about. Plus He's played solid football his entire career, so I think he was a great addition.

Solid signing. Veteran leadership, and one of the best blocking fullbacks EVER. Last season's injuries showed us how important depth is at this position for the Raiders' offense. Can't wait to see which one of his old teammates that he blows up first on opening night!

I just found out that Lorenzo Neal is a 17 year veteran. I really hope his age isn't catching up to his football skills. Like he said "It's not about Lorenzo Neal; It's about what Lorenzo Neal can do to make the Oakland Raiders a better football team."

I'm kind of wondering about the Gary Russell signing. He seems like a Zack Crockett type. Short yardage and goalline back. It kind of makes me wonder the status of Michael Bush and he's the last of our RBs that I'd want to lose. Now if Fargas was to go, then I'd think Gary Russell was a good addition.

I would be more concerned about his age if he were trying to be a starting RB or WR....but since he is a blocking FB....I think age won't be a huge factor...there is a lot of technique which he knows that is effective in blaokcing. I think its a good pick up...time will tell
