The NFL has got to do something to protect the family and friends of NFL players. This is the 5th murderer in 2012. May God Bless all the families involved.

Jovan was incredibly selfish to do what he did. Not only did he take the parents away from their little girl, he took Kassie from her family. He blew his brains out in front of friends and others. Did he really think they wanted to have that picture in their minds forever?(And their nightmares) No, I can't possibly work things out! I must grab all the attention I possibly can by ending my life in front of other people. Stupid man. If he wanted to take himself out, go ahead. But to kill her too, just selfish.

And knowing he was doing that to a child....

Well trying to attach logic to something that defies same is fruitless at best. We will never really know what insidious voices drove this guy to commit these terrible acts. Sincerest condolences to surviving friends and family. The terrible images and notoriety will fade with time. Hang in there until then.

I would assume the local police have more of an interest in this case since this couple were up all night fighting - it didn't say that they responded to any calls though. This guy showed no signs of suicidal tendencies prior to this incident according to teammates. Blaming the NFL for this is like blaming McDonald's for your high glyceride levels.

Unless this guy got the living sh*t kicked out of him in college, I doubt he had sustained an MBTI in his short career in the pros. He flipped out when his girlfriend stayed out all night at a concert. I know a couple of guys who used to play pro ball - and I wouldn't want to be the first person to piss them off. But that's the media's spin on things I guess.

But that's the media's spin on things I guess. I think the inference that "the media" has spun this story is premature. All I've seen and read includes the dis-harmony after the baby was born and the argument that you wrote about. If the Sunday football programs specifically mentioned a concussion speculation I missed it. The NFL does have heightened sensitivity about concussions now as we know and it is just a base to cover, though likely not pertinent here. Depends on what context this "media" was using concussion in its reporting; or if it was on 24/7 media that has to fill in time with blabbering by one on-air talent, which is always a possibility now.

The fact that he was relegated to special teams and was not a starter, may have fed some insecurities he had...that along with their differences and her staying out late with friends likely, just fed his doubts.....regardless of our gunlaw freedoms, some people have no business owning firearms.....
