Chad Pennington the starter?

Although Dolphins coach Tony Sparano refused to name his starting quarterback for the season opener against the Jets , even he admitted it was getting, "obvious,'' that Chad Pennington will start while rookie ... Full Story

<quoted text>Dude...It was Pre-Season. Lets acknowledge the fact the real starters dont play too much, so..my Grandmother could pass for 300 yards!Don't have high hope for Pennington. I would say the Dolphins will go 3-13. Oh..P.S. Don't count on Parcells to stay too long. He has history of getting bored and moving onto other teams. In other words, He's a flake!
He could leave at the middle of the season for all I care, as long as he gets this ship moving in the right direction! And you can't deny he has a history of doing that!

I guess I missed David Martin's brilliant work (sarcasm). I looked for him on the replay on the NFL Channel, and saw nothing from him all night.
I also say that the refs badly missed a couple of calls: Ginn caught that long ball; Ricky should have gotten that face mask call; that was a phony roughing the passer call on the Fins, etc.
All in all, I would say that I saw a progression on this team facing a playoff-caliber team in the Jags. The special teams' coverage is very shaky, still, despite a near complete turnover in personnel. The first team offense and defense has improved; the depth is shallow and we better be busy using the waiver wire to stock up.
The two Chads seem to inspire greater confidence in the offense. Bess is a keeper. I don't know how you cut Camerillo, however, because he seems to be a clutch receiver.
It will be interesting to see how they play in game three against a weak team.
the roughing the passer call was a bit iffy, but he did hit him in the head, and that will get called every time!

I totally agree about the depth! we're in trouble if a couple of guys on D get hurt!

They say that Brett is the biggest thing to happen to the Jets since Joe Namath. Joe Willie? Are you kidding me? That is a long period of time since Joe Willie.

Let's see, in that time the Dolphins had Dan Marino, the Marks Brothers, Zach Thomas, Jason Taylor. How many Super Bowls have the Jets been to? How many have they won?

I predict Holiday, Porter and Roth plaster Farve all over the field.

I bet people accuse you of being smart all the time.

You can just tell. Flawless spelling, flawless grammar-it's all perfect.

It's a shame some a valuable human such as yourself wastes his days worrying about faygs in spandex throwing an inflated kock around a field.
