This is too funny...All these Dolphin fans must have knots in their stomachs thinking Pennington will start...A former Jet! Believe me, Pennington years are over...and if you think other wise- You are wrong. He never was the same after surgery on his arm. He lost it. There are some guys that come through but he did not.

How do you think the Fins became the laughingstock they are? 1-15...yes...HAHA. Now they pick up the Jets trash (Noodle Arm) and they think they're better? too funny! |

Very true. A nice guy, someone you can root for, but it's over. The Jets realized this a couple of years ago but were not able to find a suitable replacement (Like Miami) until they jumped at Favre. With Pennington as the starter, the Dolphins can expect maybe a 4-12 record instead of challenging for 0-16 again. Maybe that's all they want..... |

What I don't understand is two weeks ago, he was nothing but a 'noodle arm' and a 'sissy' on these boards. Now that he is a Dolphin, lo and behold - he's a good QB again! Go figure..... |

Don't forget Pennington had not one but two rotator cuff surgeries on the SAME shoulder! Most players have a hard time coming back from one, not two. The fact that he is still in the NFL at all is something to marvel at....

Yup, just like Jason Taylor. 2 months ago he was one of the greatest Dolphins ever. And now he stinks? What happened? How did Jason get so bad and Noodle Arm get so good? |

I think Penny is aimed at redemption...he appears to be pretty driven...like Ricky he has something to prove this season. I honestly think we should keep Beck and cut McCown only because Beck has the slightly larger upside.

Hundreds of tickets are given away free 15-20 minutes before kickoff for every game right outside the box office. No need to pay for tickets except for possibly the Jets game. |

We'll take what we can get. A proven starter versus a rookie, a second year wash-out and a bust. It's not like Pennington had to be Brady or Manning to win this job.

It's a no-brainer. Chad knows the Jets playbook, he wants redemption, if not revenge, and he has the skills to manage the field.

That's a double-edged sword. The Jets also know Pennington very well and all of his tendancies. They can crowd the box knowing his arm cannot realistically get the ball more than 30-35 yards downfield. I'm sure they are going to shake up their playbook a little also. It all comes down to the humidity factor. If the Jets defense can avoid giving up the long drives and Favre gets them a couple of first half touchdowns, the game will be over. Pennington is not a come from behind QB. The Jets defense will wait for Pennington to make a mistake. The Jets should win by at least two touchdowns but stranger things have happened of course. |

His arm looked pretty good against the Jags and he doesn't have liver spots on them. I bet he doesn't have AOL either DORK! |

Dude...It was Pre-Season. Lets acknowledge the fact the real starters dont play too much, so..my Grandmother could pass for 300 yards!Don't have high hope for Pennington. I would say the Dolphins will go 3-13. Oh..P.S. Don't count on Parcells to stay too long. He has history of getting bored and moving onto other teams. In other words, He's a flake! |

Both teams will have advantages and disadvantages. The jets defense will drop back 30 yards and play run blitz. The Fins will put pressure on old man Farve and force him into interceptions. Miami's D line will create problems for the jets offense. The dolfins will run the ball and mix in short passes to the TE and backs. The jets will try to beat miami deep and will a couple of times. It will be a good game going down to the wire. I give miami the intangable of home field and a Parcells halftime peptalk. the dolphins will want this game more. Miami by 3 on a last minute field goal set. |

Unreal, GTR, Michael, You have no clue what you are talking about, go back to what you do best, Flipping burgers.
There are some young up and comers on this team, and this is going to be a very, very good team in 2-3 years. Oline is solid, and Dline has funture pro bowlers. Henne, is going to be a stud! And Ginn will grow into his own this season. Next years draftm WR, DB, and sign Ricky to a 2 year deal to let him finish as a Dolphin. Go Phins! I like what i see....Improvement! |
