Nice! Good to have Grossman back again, he is a better choice than old man Griese. Better to get an SEC QB back in anyway...get rid of that Big 10 garbage with Orton and Griese.

Frankly, Rex Grossman is the only shining light in the backfield, even though, like all quarterbacks, he has made mistakes in the past. His ability to throw the ball makes it all the more apparent that he deserves the number one assignment so that he can work on his skills. The fact that the Bears have no running game makes it all the tougher on the quarterback when opposing teams know that all they need to do is mount a defense against the pass. The give-away of Thomas Jones really sealed the Bears fate.
It's not so much the running back position. I have said this before...the offensive line is getting old. I made that comment to J. Hood on ESPN and thought I was nuts. They can't pass protect. They can't pick up blitzes. Grant it picking up blitzes is part of the running back job as well. A QB can't throw and a running back can't run if they constantly have someone in their face the second they get the ball in their hands.

I'm glad Rex made a good showing. I'm glad the Bears won. The problem is the team is bad and will not reach the playoffs. The offensive line is horrible, Cedric Benson was an expensive mistake and only looks for a soft place to fall. Offensive coordinator has no imagination. The defense is not dominating without Mike Brown. It's not about the quarterback--never has been. Rex should never have been benched. He's a great team mate! He took all the blame for a bad team. The tragedy is that the Bears organization let him take all the blame. I doubt that Rex will want to re sign with a team or play in a city that has treated him so poorly. Chicago's loss will be another city's gain.

"The defense is not dominating without Mike Brown", do you see everything in tunnel vision? Yes Mike Brown is a solid player but you don't think it had anything to do with Chris Harris being traded, Tank Johnson being let go, Alfonzo Boone being let go, a healthy Brian Urlacher not playing, a healthy Tommie Harris not playing, a healthy Nathan Vasher playing, and Ron Turner being replaced with Bob "the bitc#" Babich? Or do you really think that Mike Brown is superman? Not to mention that it's your hero Rex Grossman's fault the whole damn team is injured anyway. He gave away the ball so many times against the Chargers that our defense got stuck out on the field the whole game, being pushed around and broken by a larger Chargers offense? The only reason your boy Mike Brown is injured is because your hero Rex can't do anything right! GET A CLUE!!!

Wow! Being from Indiana did you have a crush on sexy Rexy in high school? That can be the only explanation for you devotion to him. We can only hope he signs with one of the other division rivals. At least then the Bears would not be the worst team in the division. Five years is long enough to wait for a guy who is either hurt or failing. Rex Grossman is toast.
