Oh PLEASE dont turn into one of them. Not even I saw the 72' fins sure they were good but what year is it now? Im pretty sure its 2008 and times are different please dont stoop too low of the lowly fin fans that wouldnt know what a half way decent team is even if it were the Tampa Bay Bucs. That kid has a point this piss poor organization has now been known for their stupidity when it comes time to drafts and it takes another 1-15 season to get the 1st round draft pick. I wont be surprised if the fins first draft is some janitor at UM or the guy who cleans the bathrooms. Do you realize how close those losers were to being 0-16? Give it up the dolphins will suck and will forever suck anyone from the south fl area has now surrendered to that fact but continued supporting a loser franchise.

Hey i may Be a Jet Fan but i'd like to see yoos improve cause we'd rather beat yoos 20-17 instead of 40-13. You have the right people now so you need to relax and enjoy the transition from losers to respectability. Rome wasn't built in a day..loserville takes alot longer!

First off, not sure why you'd admit to living in Jersey. Nevertheless, we Jet fans were pulling for the Giants to beat the Pat's, not becoming Giant fans, bozo. Clearly a difference that simpletons can't understand. Go drink some more toxic water...

TAYLOR, FINS TO PART WAYS?

We reported earlier in the day that rumors of a trade that would send Fins defensive end Jason Taylor to the Packers for a second- and fourth-round pick in the 2008 draft are premature.

But, as Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports reports, a divorce between Taylor and the Dolphins is coming.

Per Cole, the team and the player have agreed to an amicable split. But, as we've pointed out, no one has consulted with Taylor about whether he'd accept a trade to Green Bay (or anywhere). So don't look for anything to happen soon.

Certainly, Taylor will be a key component of any conversations regarding a trade. But he's currently occupied with preparations for Dancing with the Stars, and to the extent that he's interested in parlaying the exposure into a post-football career in Hollywood playing roles other than himself or a prison guard in The Longest Yard II, Taylor needs to stick around as long as possible in the competition.

So he'll need to focus. And that could mean that he won't have the time or the inclination to deal with exploring opportunities in other NFL cities or worrying about the terms of a new contract.

Thus, while Cole thinks a deal will be done before the draft, the major sticking point could be Taylor sticking around Dancing with the Stars deep into April.

Thats the only thing we have in common there Jetfan. back in the 80s my parents would take us up to NJ to visit grandma on Raritan Ave. then me and my cousin would cruse across the river to rutgers and hang out in that basement gameroom and pick up all the babes. GOOD OL DAYS... GO PHINS!!!

Wow, a Jet fan just made sense!! Quit your bitchin' Fin fans, and enjoy the rebuild. There are more bumps left in the road, but the destination will be worth it. The last regime tried to improve the Phins, but their dartboard drafting and questionable (at best) signings didn't work. Hail to the new Chief, and go Dolphins!

This is a three year project. Picking up a bunch of decent players to fill the many, many holes while building through the draft is the only way to get to an 8-8 record in the near-term while aiming for a playoff run in 2010. The biggest missing piece, which every NFL team struggles with, is a top caliber QB. If Beck or Josh M do not show signs this year that they can be the guy, more QB's will have to drafted and acquired until we get one. Parcell's can put all the other pieces together with his experience and knowledge, a great QB is a matter of luck. Tom Brady, 6th round, Derek Anderson, 7th round, Kurt Warner, undrafted, arena league, Romo, 6th round...need I say more? And you can count the number of 1st round QB busts over the years on about 10 hands. We need to get lucky.
