The showing by the Ravens last night was pathetic. There was no effort from any of the players. Paying fans at the game last night should be refunded there money
PAYING FANS THAT WANT BILLICK AND BOLLER BACK should be cheated out of more money and punched in the back of the head since they are already brain damaged.

anyone who defends billick or boller is a STEELER FAN or just the dumbest fan on Earth.

How come this guy gets a pass? He has had some of the best defensive players to work with since he got here and whenever someone got hurt and Rex ACTUALLY had to use his brains to coach up a non starter and make the smart defensive play calling, he has FAILED MISERABLY, this goes beyond the dumbest timeout call since the Chris Webber incident.

Very good point and I've thought it myself. I don't think he is a good fit to take over the Ravens if and when.

I give Billick credit for taking this team to a Super Bowl victory. Other than that, I have been completely under-whelmed with his abilities. Also, in all fairness, Ted Marchibroda had a solid nucleus of a team in place prior to the arrival of the genius. However, I must quickly add that I'm doubtful if Ted could have taken the team to a Super Bowl victory. Bottom line: Billick has not produced much with the talents he's been given. It's time for a clean slate.

"But even at his worst showing this year, Boller has done better than McNair's best."

Refer to the last sentence of your previous quote.

You choose to overlook the fact that McNair played at 60% this season, while Boller was completely healthy. Also, you fail to refer to facts and see that McNair's best game (Week 3) this season was better than Boller's best game (Week 13); a best game that included a game changing turnover in the redzone and plenty of his usual overthrows, lack of touch and balls into the ground.

While I agree that an injured McNair was horrendous this year, I know that a healthy Boller was no better.

Get your facts straight and a grasp on reality.

Boller shouldn't get the F, whoever called the plays should. Coming into this game Indy was #2 against the pass, but 17th against the run. And you have McGahee, He's a great back. Smith is small, but the best QB on your team. Start Smith for the rest of the season, Boller is a great back-up(and nothing more), and McNair was damaged goods before you got him. The Titan's choose to start a rookie (VY) over him, and let him walk. Is it worth it to tank the season, cut Mcnair, and use some of his money to sign a high draft pick? Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of the Ravens, but you need some O to help out your great D. Maybe draft a couple receivers? Get a few younger O linemen? Might also want to get a couple linebackers so they can learn from your guys now and continue to be great when guys like Lewis and Suggs leave/retire.

The fact is, McNair could barely throw the ball more than 10 yards in any game he played this year. He needed 3 3 1/2 yard passes to eek out a first down. It was painfully pathetic to anyone and everyone watching. At no point was Boller unable to toss the ball 50 yards. It's not even a night and day comparison.

Again...that's not to say that Boller was great. Or even good. It's simply saying McNair wasn't even playing on the level of an NFL QB. And your assessment of his 60% comes from what "fact", exactly? Your opinion is all. Get real dude.

This team is old, slow, arrogant, and an embarrassment to the city of Baltimore.
As is Dixon, O'Malley, all the new taxes, those nine kids that beat up that woman the other day, the state legislature, our rivers, streams, lakes and the bay, the city police department, every single elected official, the price of a 4oz. crab cake at Phillips, the murder rate, the decline of tourism, BGE, Comcast, Aubrey Huff, The Mid Atlantic Orioles, and worst of all

To those couple of morons that see race in everything Mike Preston writes, get a clue!!! Go back to early this year. On at least two occassions he said Boller played better than McNair. I think he has said McNair should retire because he doesn't have it anynore. He has given Boller good reviews on several occassions this year. He came down hard on McGehee today. I'll bet if Mike's mug shot wasn't posted next to his columns, you'd be hard pressed to tell us what his race is. I'm a 50 year old, fairly conservative white guy. Presont does NOT play the race card, and anyone who says he does has their OWN racial issues to deal with.
I liked this post. And I enjoy reading Preston, Helmsley and Markus and Maese and Steele. I think the point about a mug shot is right on. And like Preston's blog on Rolle´s 'Boy' claim showed, he can write with sense. I'm getting a little verklemmt here. HAH !!!

When it was confirmed that Rolle and McAlister weren't playing, we should have known that last night would be a slaughter.
David Pittman and Derrick Martin are playing their way out of the league. Corey Ivy will hang around for a while as long as he can play special teams and blitz and doesn't have to cover anybody.
The injuries are a factor but not an excuse. This team has no depth.
Yep. The DB depth hasnt been there in years, weve drafted notsowellsaypoorly and that in part has changed the pressure to play catch up, we're getting impatient with BB´s 'O.' This draft cant make up for others (Edwards, Pittman (Haysoos!), but the scouts better have their elder mating DUNG together.
