Eagles president Joe Banner hears frustration of fans

They were actually civil and polite. But given the chance to speak directly with Eagles president Joe Banner, several callers to Howard Eskin's talk show on Philadelphia's WIP 610-AM still made clear their ... Full Story

Why doesn't someone ask the Eagles why they are about 40 million under the cap?

My guess is that they are $40M under the cap because they are a business, first and foremost, trying to stay in business. That means they have to contain costs like the rest of us, but, at the same time, they do need to provide a quality product for the consumer. It's a fine line to walk. Raises in salaries have to be made up somewhere...are you willing to pay even more to see a game???

Just like any business in an Entertainment type environment, you need to make changes and additions to keep the fans happy. Do something already that will help your team. They have made no effort what so ever and have been the biggest losers in the offseason so far.

It's almost like an amusment park. People get excited and go to the parks when they add a new rollercoaster or some other cool ride. If you don't make improvements, people will take thier money elsewhere.

42 million under the cap= Front Office not willing to sign any impact/All-Pro player year in and year out. In addition they low ball their proven players. Joe Banner is a scum bag in a suit and outright lied about the Dawkins situation. The whole front office needs to go at this point, they will never win a Super Bowl with this gang of idiots.
Expect another failure of a draft and another disappointing season from the Eagles. I've been a fan for over 26 years and every year I question why I continue to follow this team. It has been nothing but heart break.

Dawkins leaves a legacy in Illy that can't be matched. Last season his leadership brought back from the dead a Eagle's record to just one game away from the Superbowl.#20 is now in Denver but his heart is always in Philly. Dawkins didn't stop playing and as a Eagle's Nation we've got to keep it going!!

I know it's "just business" and all that and maybe his mazing skills are on the decline, but bringing back Brian Dawkins was the right thing to do. The Eagles did not do the right thing. Their secondary used to be a strength, but they've now lost Dawk (plus a couple others this weekend)and I do not have any confidence at all in their ability to draft a decent replacement.

I must say that I hate the Eagles, but Joe Banner is such a piece of sh1t owner. A couple years agoe they were only one or two players away and they blew it. I hope the Philly fans let him hear it all year.

I am a Bears fan and although we won a super bowl over 20 years ago, our management team sucks too!! At least the Eagles have wide receivers.

Let's stop with bashing the front office. I remember all the negative comments about the organization when Troy Vincent and Bobby Taylor were allowed to walk away. The fact of the matter is we are fans who have a biased view of the players on our favorite team. Don't get me wrong, I am a big Dawkins fan. Let's be honest, the Broncos overpaid for a 35 year old player on the down side of his career. There is no way the Eagles would have made that kind of investment. Another thing, If Brian Dawkins really wanted to be an Eagle, he would have accepted their offer. He just chased the money.

This coming from a guy that supports the Iron Pigs. i guess you have to consider the source. Here is a guy that probably paid money to watch a glorified high school baseball team.

When did the Eagles get receivers? Jackson is the only one with any real talent. Basket is a complete bum.
