Hey EPTimes, why not start a link that keeps track of all the El Pasoans and UTEP players in the Pro Leagues! For example, Da'Mon Cromartie-Smith is on the Steelers Squad. Johnnie Lee Higgins and Thomas Howard are on the Raiders Squad. Quintin Demps and Jon Dorenbos are on the Eagles Squad. Oniel Cousins is on the Ravens Team. John Skelton is a rookie on the Cardinals Squad. Cornelius Brown is a rookie with the Bears and Jeff Moturi is a rookie with the Packers. Robby Felix who is a rookie with the Jets and Melvin Stephenson is a rookie with the Redskins. Good Luck to Carson plamer and all of the other EP and UTEP Players. I'm not sure about all of any other EP local players that went to other colleges and are playing in the NFL.

I think you mispelled your name rick. You forgot a "p" in front. Some of the greatest qb's have been backups and one point or another. Case in point, BRADY!!!!

There's always an exception to the rule. Look at statistics. Most third string quarterbacks are and will be benchwarmers. The guy hasn't proved a thing in the NFL because he hasn't played, hence the word overrated. He was never elite in college.

Yes rick - they just keep him around because they have several million dollars to toss away.

We all know that there aren't any quarterbacks leaving the college ranks any more so Cincinnati is forced to keep Jordan.

Good that he is still in the game, waiting and preparing.

Mediocrity. Look at his stats and tell me he's worthy of having a spot in any NFL team roster. Two years in the league: 7 of 12 for 41 yards with 2 interceptions and 2 sacks. It's the NFL, the best league in the world. Don't tell me you think he's there because he has proven anything. He's lucky his brother keeps him around.

Dear Rick Pigskin,
This may come as a total shock, but they play for real money in the NFL. Each franchise is not a frat, where a legacy can be admitted over an equally qualified pledge.

For you to intimate that Carson Palmer is somehow a wink-wink add-on because of his brother, Jordan ... may I suggest that you check your hole card. NFL clubs don't keep a guy on the roster unless he can contribute, now or in the future. Too much money at stake to do otherwise.

At UTEP, Jordan used to stare down his receivers such that everyone in the stadium knew who his target was. The Redskins cut him because he was wildly inaccurate. Both of these issues are improvable. I think most El Pasoans wish him well and hope he will succeed if he has to step in and actually play.

I think Palmer should try out to be the team's mascot! He has a better chance of getting this job than a starting QB position!

You can't beat the gig. Get paid millions in the NFL to be ready just in case someone gets hurt. Don't be jealous guys just because you might be short and fat like me. Jordan is a Miner and all miners are family here. When they announce where Jordan is from they say University of Texas-ElPaso, not Buffalo or Florida. Good job Jordan.
