He has played very well at times for Oak, and at 24 still has a lot of upside. This could turn out to be our best draft ever, if we get a star CB out of the 4th and 5th supplimental pick Gaither, franchise QB, stud RB, and a lot of defensive depth.

Agree with Skay and Chester. Aaron Wilson reported on this a week ago. Jason is using the same quotes as Aaron except a week later

Wilson's article has this quote from Washington about the Ryan Bros which I found really funny.
"There's at least one major similarity as Washington goes from playing for Raiders defensive coordinator Rob Ryan to his twin brother, Rex Ryan.

"They sound alike, they look alike, other than the haircut, and they say the same jokes,""
Unbelievable! the Sun article virtually plagiarizes the Carroll County article, and to compound the indignity, the Sun is stealing from a so-called lesser publication. Talk about a Dantean descent

I love the people who write the Ravens off before a single game has been played. He is an interesting fact the Ravens went 13-3 with the #1 ranked Defense and the #17 ranked offense in 2006. Last year was a result of injuries and Brian Billick's play calling. We have the same D and we have a crap load of new people who have been O coordinators plus Cameron who has proven he is a good coordinator and not just a product of the talent around him. If everyone is healthy I easily see an above .500 record or even the Playoffs.

You guys have the smarter of the Ryan twins coaching your D. Better hope that Rex can teach Fabs to tackle for you, he couldn't tackle a sack of potatoes for us last season, got benched and pouted the rest of the year.
That being said, I hope he does help your team, except of course when we should play one another.

9-7 maybe 7-9 likely
I would hinge it on the front line. The D will be fine and keep you in games as always. You still have no receivers or serious deep threat . I would start Smith, he can run and disrupt defensive schemes, creating plays. Boller, can't run, can't pass, blah, blah, blah, Don't touch Flacco, it would destroy him, let him sit out and go with little Vick at the QB position.

Washington was well worth the draft pick. The guy has the talent he was just at a bad spot in his life and it came out in his play. Now not only does ha have a chip on his shoulder but he is playing with Ray, Ed, Bart, Suggs, Buddy Lee...etc and those guys aren't going to let him slack off. I think this will be a nice change for the Ravens. A guy comes here and becomes a better player rather then a good player leaves to go on and stink for another team. As for JO, I love hearing everyones speculations. There is no question he wants to play or he would have retired already. The only question is if he is healthy and he won't come back if he isn't. If he comes back there is no doubt he will be the starting LT and we will be a better team.

This pick was a steal. This guy with Reed and C Mac and Rolle will lift his game to another level like so many other players do to live up to the Ravens tradition and El Captain Ray Lewis! Got the stud QB and A first round CB with experience and something to prove!

Well Christine...you always say that you're just a girl, and maybe being a girl, you don't know as much as the guys. Well, I'll tell ya what I think. I think you're a tomboy, Christine. That's what I think.

LOL.

We will see if Washington has changed. The defensive coordinator of the Raiders is Rob Ryan. I'm sure Rob and Rex talked about Washington and his abilities or lack of abilities. He biggest problem in Oakland wasn't so much tackling, but his height. He is about 5'8" so taller receivers beat him like a drum. That is why he was replaced by Routt at 6'2", plus Routt was a much better tackler.

I think Ogdon is done, it will be anounced in August. The reason I heard is because the ravens will get more money back if they wait past a certain date.

If you don't like Sun's coverage of the Ravens, and no one could/should, consider subscribing to insider - scout network @ http://bal.scout.com . Much better coverage, a lot more insightful, Aaron Wilson by the way is part of the reason why, and well worth the money.
