I hear you, and you might be right, but there's a flip side: if Flacco HAS to play, it could hurt his career. Remember the last 1st round QB who started for the Ravens as a rookie. Wasn't it some guy named Boller?
Flacco could be great, but he might need a season of seasoning; many great QBs do.

Agree with the concensus: Terry is a questionable choice at RT. He's a natural LT (IF he can play at all).
Terry and Chris Chester (remember HIM?): TWO 2nd round O linemen who are on the verge of bustdom.
Where would we be if Terry, Chester, and Cody had become just decent starters!

i dont care if they got a 78 year old Clay Matthews playing tackle as long as i dont have to watch Kyle Bumbler oops i mean Boller play anymore. Is his contract up yet? geez it seems like he has been on the team for 20 years. Even the Lions didnt wait this long to cut Harrington and he went 3rd overall. This might seem crazy now to some people but I think that if it comes down at the end of the year to paying Jason Brown or Terrell Suggs I pay Brown. He is an animal in the mold of a young Alan Faneca and his cieling is very high still. I think Suggs is a great player but I keep this o-line intact and let it build itself over the next 2-3 years into one of the leagues best. Besides we have young linebackers who they are developing who can step in if and when Suggs leaves. He is saying he wants Freeney type money. If that is the case then adios sizzle.

Yeah, that Flacco is the savior, man...no chance without him...that Troy Smith is "still a small rookie", and Flacco has accomplished so much more.
I can't even remember his rookie stats. Let's compare Flacco's game stats with the other QBs.
Wow...I can't find his. It's like he didn't even have a rookie season...oh, wait a minute, HE HASN'T YET!
I've heard of drinking the Koolaid, but you guys don't even wait to add the water - straight powder, man! Are you snorting it through a straw or a rolled up Joe Flacco rookie card?
Don't get me wrong. I'm rooting for the kid. But, "let's face the facts", he hasn't put up any NFL game points; "let's face the facts", he hasn't moved any NFL game chains; "let's face the facts", he hasn't taken a NFL game snap; "let's face the facts", there are questions on whether he's even proven himself against the better college level talent. But you've crowned him our only hope against "another dismal season", none the less. Let him prove himself before you crown him (look at this...you got me channeling Denny Green, here).
Let the kid earn it first. If you're gonna dis our guys at least have more than a pipe dream to back you. Otherwise...

Who Ever How Ever..Shaun Rodgers will eat them like Bite sized morsels...and that will allow Willams, Wembley,Bell and Mcginest to reck havoc...Hampton and co will also continue to dominate them......the bungles will be their only favorable matchup. They should have used the draft to supplement the positions that will ultimately break this season just like they broke the last one....Corner and O line.....instead they gave in to the dream quarterback is going to turn the franchise around hype...Flacco has alot of potential ....but they should not have abandoned their more pressing needs and selected him with pick 18....the special teams demoltion twins Zibranakumura,Lenny Willams,Jimmy Walker and the rest of the temptations are not going to help them against the likes of To, Plaxico Burress,Andre Johnson,Jerry Porter,Harrison and Wayne,Randle El,Santana Moss,Devon Thomas and Malcolm Kelly, Ocho Cinco and who's your moma

You may be correct. Whoever the QB is, he won't win games, he'll just make sure the offense doesn't give them away. This team is still primarily about the defense.
Pressure on the QB cures a lot of ills (see Giants, 2007 Super Bowl) Between the injuries to the secondary and Pryce and the loss of AD, the linebackers had to do double duty, diluting the pass rush of the hybrid 3-4.
It seems like the answer this year will be: Pryce is back along with Cody and Barnes and Burgess are one year more experienced. Washington and Walker are supposed to be upgrades and, besides their effect on special teams, Naka-kowski will hit a lot a people if nothing else. Presumably, this all will free up Scott, Suggs and Lewis to get after the QB more. This is assuming everyone shows up healthy on opening day, of course.
