I've been reading about Cam Cameron's expectations for Adam Terry at right tackle. Frankly, that came as quite a surprise. I'm satisfied with the other changes, but I feel Terry and Gaither should have duked it out at left tackle, and some other arrangement should have been made at right tackle. Terry is a natural left tackle, and he has struggled with his footwork when they moved him to right tackle in the past. I don't know what Cam Cameron thinks is now going to magically change, but I'm very skeptical at this point. It looks like we've got the makings of a great O-line, at least potentially, with Gaither-Grubbs-Brown-Yanda. But Terry got beaten like a rented mule way too often at right tackle the past 3 years, and unless there's some sort of major improvement with Matsko and Cameron helping him, I don't like the thought of him on the right side.

(As a side note, the notion that Pashos was so easily replaceable is ludicrous.)

So we got it, the official Offensive line from Camron himself!
Gaither-Grubbs-brown-yanda-Ter ry!
that's sound great to me, a young and athletic line who sure is going to dominate in two or three years!
the interior lineman are going to do a great job, but i hope the blind side and terry are going to protect our QB, that's my only concern...
And we have a good group of backup if injury happens...
time to raise up the offense at the level of our defense!

But note: It says for now Terry is penciled in at RT. This should send a message to Terry and the others that the coaches are not completely sold. And given where we are this off season there's still time for someone else to step up (or step in) and, not only make that sell, but close that sale.

Sounds like a potentialy good o-line, only question mark is Terry but hey Pashos sucked at RT his firstcouple of years and is now a servicable starter.

I thought Terry was the finesse tackle better suited to the left side and Gaither better for the right, now that has changed?

I read in the Annapolis Paper that Cousins is expected to compete for the RT spot. The only other problem I see is OL depth. Injuries along the OL are common so I hope Matsko can develop some of the other linemen.

A strong tough and potentialy wicked front three. GRUBBS, BROWN, YANDA.
AAAWWWWW Yeah! UH ho, watch out Squeelers.

Pleeenty of tiiiime for the tackle position to work out.

You know what I'm going to LOVE, is those three handling the Stains two new D-tackle studs they just picked up.
We have awsome depth at o-line too.
I don't care what you think, I'm drinkin the koolaid.
HERE WE GO RAVENS, HERE WE.
Can't we have a couple scrimmage games like this weekend, pleeeeaase.
Something to get us thru.
I'm jones-in, baby.
I'm going outside right now and throw my football around.
Am I ridiculus? My wife says I am.
Am I rambling now? Sorry.

Dan Cody is like a UFO. You know they are around but you can't see them or get any pictures. Jason Brown sound good to me. Along with Grubbs and company we might be in for a happy surprise.

Yanda is the weakest link as he got pushed around on almost every play last year. hopefully he has hit the weight room in the offseason.

O-line looks o.k., but I think Terry will be the back up for both sides , our starting right tackle isn't here yet..........

I'm sure before it's all said and done, there will be more changes. with a whole new coaching staff, I'm sure Terry will be get better than he was last year. If I've said it once I've said it numerous times in here, coaching is the key as long as the players really listen and take everything to heart. If you have a bad coach, bad things happen.

Let's face the facts. If Joe Flacco is not the starting quarterback, the Ravens will be assured of another dismal season.Boller is no more than a backup.Smith is still a small rookie. It's onward and upward with Flacco,or forget it.

The reason for the decisions are as follows. Jason Brown is all that you could ask for as a center. Mobile for a center, strong and tough.Smart enough to make offensive calls. Will be a big improvement at that position.Yanda is a potentially stong right guard prospect as he is mobile and tough. Gaither is the best left tackle prospect, mobile, quick feet , good pass blocker and perhaps better at run blocking then ogden. Terry is a capable pass blocker but lacked strength and toughness in the past. If he improves in his weak area's and developes a mental tough attitude he will be sucessful on the right side. If not he will be a backup at best behind Gaither.Grubbs is a natural left tackle, with better skills than anyone at that position for us in the past.

Sorry , correction I referred to Ben Grubbs as a tackle I meant to say left guard.

Will-

Gaither might grow into a better run blocker than JO- but Gaither's run blocking was suspect in college and is still suspect now. Given some time (granted he only played 2 years of college football) I think he will turn into another stud like JO.

McGahee should be able to run wild behind this line especially with misdirection plays etc. I dont think the Ravens will be any worse than last year, in fact I expect to see much improvement. The defense will still be the defense- and now that we actually have an offensive minded coach managing the offense, we will probably score more than last year. Solid D, more points, less turnovers = a better freekin team than the Browns, Bungals, and Steelers.
I am still in baseball mode but I cant wait for some foooooosball.

Its a great line up for the O-line. I'm not sure if Terry is gonna win the job at RT. I think he is better at LT and could back up Gaither. I hear Cousins could win the RT. Anyway our line is gonna be much better this year. Hopefully the false starts will be down this year.

I also thought it funny to see Dan Cody mentioned at the end of the article. I wasn't even sure if he was still playing football. Hopefully he can get back on the field and contribute. He's going to have some serious arthritis when his playing days are over...

Okay I kind of felt they would reshuffle the line but Terry at RT? I guess its only for now but he certainly hasn't been a great RT when plays there but it may change. I am really looking forward to see how Gaither will do at LT though, he showed promise and has big potential. Moving Yanda inside is not a bad idea since he got pushed around at RT last year and I think he played more at guard in college.
