Honestly I think that he is only better then about 50% of the lineman today... Freeney and a few others have run around him like a statue in a field last season and in seasons past. It's time for a new start to this team and a new look. Let Ogden go and take Ray-Ray with him.

Maybe he should retire, but the Ravens need him

Yep. Retire. Ogden has been a great player, but the Ravens need more than just a part time player who isn't fully committed. Let someone hungry have a chance.

Yes, Ogden should retire, but you are being kind Mike. He should retire becuase he doesn't want to put in the time and effort anymore.

They want to win to prove Billick was the problem? Nice bunch of motivated professionals Ozzie has acquired here. At least no one is in jail.

Any one else notice how happy Derrick Mason was getting the ball on an awful team compared to the year before when he was constantly whining about not getting the ball even though the team was 13-3?

This bunch sickens me.

Not sure I agree Mike. Good points at times, but does this mean Tom Brady should retire after his epic year as well? Ogden could be a stabilizing force for such a young line; who better to learn from? For me, it comes down to his health...

I agree that Harbaugh couldn't let Ogden take off most of camp, if he did then there would be countless others who would expect the same. On that note I would like to see Harbaugh make all of the players remain at McDaniel College for the entire camp, instead of letting the veterans go home each day. This team needs to bond, and learn the concept of being a real "team"!

I am afraid its armageddon time. I agree with MP that JO should retire. He is GREAT, but new staff and new O-line need to hit the front lines together. It really scares me alot that I agree with MP on anything. If MP went with him then all would be right with the world- a great guy retiring and the antitheses of a great guy gone to off set the loss of good karma.

Ogden is great and is a special part of this teams history but he should retire and let the young guns play.

JO has been a credit to the Ravens. To even think that he held out of games because the Ravens had no chance at the playoffs, is just plain ignorance. We have never heard bad things about JO.When he would speak up in the locker room players listen. He is a leader on the field by how he plays and carries his- self off the field, period. JO was upset when the Ravens lost at home to Indy in the playoffs because they should have won the game.If it wasn't for bad coaching we would have.Jamal was running the ball for 5 yards a pop early, and didn't get the ball except 3 times in the second half.JO pointed out that Indy's line was tired we had them and stopped running the ball.JO was right, and if he chooses to retire God Bless him .I will miss him on the field, but thanks JO.

Ogden: Preston Should Retire

btw Mike, if Ogden has saved millions of dollars it's not because he's a miser, it's because he is smart.

Preston I actually agree with this article. I love Ogden but theres little chance he could come back and stay healthy at this point. Ravens need to be looking to the future for their O-line.

"They'll be on a mission again because they'll want to prove they lost last year because of Billick, not because of the players."

Are you kidding? You are the one who won't let go of your grudge against Billick. The players, if they haven't already, will have moved on. They will be playing for themselves and their teammates, not to stick it Billick. That is your thing. Enough already, he's gone. Leave him alone.
