I think Gaither is gonna be fine player this year. He just needs some time and a little kick in the butt here and there.

Offensive line issues. Another reason Newsome should have followed Billick out the door. The organization had better start making better decisions or the Ravens will be the Orioles playing football!!

I hope Gaither applies himself. It's sad to see a person with the ability not use all of it. Maybe it's a self-confidence issue or he was never motivated (pushed) to his full potental.

Did Gaither come into camp in shape this year? I thought I read that he did not, and was lazy in the off-season.

He was named the starter after Ogden retired but was a liability out there last year, and he looked slow and awkward while getting burned. Now for this year, he's been hurt almost the whole time.

Perhaps someone who is watching practice, like Preston, can say why he's going to be any better this year, from a physical point of view. Holding a spot on the depth chart does not create ability. So let's have some good reporting here.

Gaither is a slug. He's the black lineman equivalent of Boller. Ninety cent body, ten cent head. It's funny how people like Preston get all over Billick for being overly ipressed with Boller's physical tools and then make the same mistake themselves with Gaither. Gaither will be out of the league in three years, with no career to show for it.

Gaither fits right in with many of Ozzie's picks , poor work ethic . Suggs , MaGahee , Gaither , Sore throat Smith , Chester , C-Mack are all Ozzie's lazy boy picks..........Come to think of it Preston fits in there also.

Mike;what is the difference who the o-line is, if like last year, the wideouts, except Mason, cannot get any separation.----SAD

Hey Billick! I see you're getting face time on NFL Network with your Coor's Light add. Since you're a living legend it's a shame you only got 3 lines but I'm sure the emmy nomination is a lock. Nice blow dry on the hair. You are the Bill Clinton of football.

Signing Aaron Brooks or Daunte Culpeper would be "good news"?

Why are we not pushing for Jason Peters at all????? He is still holding out at Buffalo....He is in his prime and has possibly a other 6 years in front of him. With Adam healthy and progressing as he did so far we may suddenly have a OL for years to come......

Give Gaither a shot. He has the raw tools to succeed, and the jury is still out as to whether he is coachable (can he be motivated and is he bright enough to pick up the offense and his line calls).

I saw him dominate several times last year. Going in, he has more potential than just about any other alternative.

I'd give less leeway to Terry. He has had more time to develop, was actually drafted by this team to be a left tackle, and so far has been less than impressive at right tackle.

Shouldn't have sent Pashos packing, as he was a developmental lineman that actually developed (took about 4 years).

Can you give the guy at least a small chance to prove himself? He was labeled a project for a reason, he has the potential and size to at least get in the way of someone. Raw. He can only improve unlike Boller who has reached his peak. Look at how great the Colts and Pats O-lines look without their QBs.

Look at the positives. Rice looks like he will get even better when the blocking improves. He is our back of the future. Flacco will improve with time and improved blocking and better receivers. the special teams has improved a great deal. Don't concern your self with super bowls but look for improvement.

This is exactly what I thought, the public/coaching staff likes to down play injuries and force guys back early so when they don't perform well they can kill them in the public/press. .a ankle sprain is different than a high ankle sprain . . ask D.Will . .a ankle sprain may take 1-2 week to recover from, a high ankle sprain takes about 6 weeks. .but if its not reported as such it makes everyone say he is being lazy. .I think he is still being rushed because of pressure and they will kill him about his performance and no one will say he is playing inspite of the injury. . they did the same to J.Louis (then when healthy you see what he did with the Browns) T. Heap last year when they down played his injury and the same to E.Reed until those player come out and said that their injuries are worst than what is being reported. .I don't know to many football player who dont want to play and will play hurt but its unfair when its not well reported what they are doing to get on the field and why if at time they dont perform well. . Everybody kills the players but no one kills the soft reporting of the injuries, so a player is damned if he do and damned if he doesnt. . .
