Small correction. J.O. played 12 seasons (11 Pro Bowls due to injury season) and a total of 176 games.

I do think the O line will be better mostly because of better practice, gameplanning, coaching and scheme. They have depth, size athletic ability and all that, but good offense requires good coaching.

The defense along with the pass rush will be a lot more than fine also if the O can carry the load, not fumble so much and keep the defense in close games. Last season, good teams were ahead by 2 tds so fast they did not have to throw much to beat us.

Pryce, Barnes, Suggs and Scott could all be double digits in sacks if the O can match the production of 2006.

the ravens have a lot of young talent at OL and done seen 2 be done yet at building the OL. Gaither is freakishly athletic and 350lbs at just 21 isnt done filling out. If he gets just a touch stronger without losing athleticism he has loads of pro bowl potential. with some coaching on his technique and work ethic he should be a beast at LT 4 yrs 2 come. Yanda is a mauler at tackle with athleticism 2 spare as a guard. grubbs has pro bowl potential at th other guard spot. Add in Jason Brown and the ravens have a very physical athletic interior part of the OL with each starter weighing 320 or more. Simply put they wont be pushed around. The RT looks 2 b terry's spot with healthy competition coming from the athletic and still growing 310 Oniel Cousins. I dunno what was on the mind of the morons who selected Hale with Carl Nicks still on the board!!!!!!!!!! Nicks is going 2 b the steal OL of the draft 6'5 345 very atletic especially at that size and even more powerful and quick into his blocks. He lacks experience and proper technique. He got by on raw talent. with some coaching, experience, hard work and a playing weight around 327LBS he has a real chance at being the best OL in this draft. He could easily have challenged 4 the RT spot and someday push Gaither 4 the LT spot with the loser manning the RT spot for yrs 2 come. Not a bad 2nd place prize. Where does David Hale fit in this mix?????Time will tell the ravens really goofed!!!!!!!!!!

Ogden was an awesome player. I recall a game a few years ago when he and Mulitalo mowed the Cowboys d line down to the point where J. Lewis wasn't even touched until five yards down field. The Ravens won the Super Bowl that year. None of these guys have proven they are anything like him, and though I hope they come close, it would be silly to say there won't be some transition problems. Ogden was the best at his position in his day and maybe ever. You don't replace guys like that in a heartbeat.
The last few years he was average at best though. 3 years ago, Dwight Freeney parlayed that game against Ogden into a huge contract. It was like Lawrence Taylor going against a garden gnome. Don't be deceived by the recent pro-bowl selections. They are based on past performance. Roy williams of the Cowboys even made the pro-bowl this year and he was absolutely terrible the last two years.

He will be demoralized by the Browns as they continuously sack what ever one of the loser QB's stands behind center.
