Everyone talks about paraody in the NFL, but to me the NFL is turnig into MLB where the Pats/Colts are like the Yankees and Red Sox. Is them then everyone else. That's the problem facing the Ravens. How can they not only improve but compete with the Colts/Pats?

To me the Ravens, if properly coached, are one of the few teams that match up against against both teams. And I don't think a major overhaul is needed to knock off either team next year.#1 you need a head coach the players respect and love playing for. That's one major difference between Billick and Bilichek/Dungy.#2 You need a leader on offense, a QB, who is respected by his players and is gifted enough to make plays. Is Troy Smith that guy, don't know but he's showing signs.#3 Need a corner. There are several in the draft. I would trade out of our slot for an extra pick this year or next.#4 If Billick stays you need a OC that will hire his own staff. And a new O line coach similar to Alex Gibbs.

This team has talent. Always has. They just need to be developed properly.

If anyone was paying attention to the announcers last night they would have heard what Phil Simms had to say and taken heed to it. He said that the Ravens would be in the playoffs next season and I for one totally agree!!!!!!!!!!

Thank goodness the season is over. The team has potential, but the main problems are the coaching, choking, and a continuation of the development of the offensive line. I think they are two years away from being a solid unit. I look for an 8-8 season next year and an improvement the next, possibly making the playoffs. Billick's influence is going to keep Smith from developing his potential. I like waht I see of his athletic ability, but Billick's influence will neutralize it.

The Ravens are not nearly as bad as their record this year indicated, but all the talk I've heard (not here) about injuries being the reason for their season needs a reality check. Inuries are a fact of life in the NFL. The Redskins are going to the playoffs and look at their injury situation.

Starters lost on D for at least four games: Taylor (dead); McIntosh (IR); Rogers (IR); Washington.

Starters lost on O: Campbell; Moss; Randel El; Janson (IR); Thomas (IR); Sellers.

Backups Lost: Godfrey; Wade; Thrash; Yoder; Cartwright; Pucillo (IR).

We all need to give credit where credit is due and Troy Smith deserves a lot of credit. I am not sure that any of the rookie QBs played any better or showed more posie and leadership than Troy Smith. We definitely have something here so let's stop nitpicking and let Troy grow. Let him compete for the starting QB Position next season and see what happens. He is the most intriguing QB prospect we have ever had (except maybe D. Anderson). Give him time to grow and we may all be very pleased.
And Preston enough already.

Smith looked great yesterday! I can't believe that Brian Billick hasn't played him all year instead of deer in the headlights Boller! You guys could be really tough to beat next year!!! GO AFC NORTH!

Since Billick is 15 mill. richer and will do those stupid pre-game shows he will probably fly to LA. and get a botox shot to give him an ordinary upper lip. His thining hair looks good on him. Leave that alone. Just fix that upper lip and you'll look good on the set. Bill Cower has the same upper lip problem but he requires lots of work to make that mug look good. Lots of work.

Preston, you don't arouse interest. You play the racecard and combine it with football. Troy Smith isn't that good but if he were white you'd be saying the same thing.

Here's hoping you get the pinkslip as well.
