Its too bad Ogden didn't leave last spring. I knew he was done then and I'm sure he did too.
I like the rules this year ,, if you can't do training camp , you can't play ...

He was great but I am glad he is leaving. No player is bigger than a team and its no doubt in my mind he didn't want to do training camp. Its time for a change.

Just a couple of posts that exemplify what is wrong with the sports fan of today. Their nasty, smart mouthed, uneducated, kick 'em when their down mentality is only matched by the insufferable tirades, antics, anti social behavior of some players in sports who have the same mindset. They are made for each other. Simply said they have no respect. It's said you can't give what you don't possess and there it is for all to read.

Thank you J.O. for being not only the best, but you made real fans proud of you being a Baltimore Raven. You will forever be our first. Our first number one draft pick and our first and most deserving Hall of Fame inductee. You excelled at your position every Sunday and dominated so much that you made it fun to watch the offensive line at work, much in the same way the 2000 defense made you want to see the defense on the field. Both situations are very much our town. Blue collar, gritty and maybe not very glamorous but we had the privilege to watch you kick the hell out of the other teams and that's the most you could ever ask for as a fan.

A real fan.

Thanks again.

In 1996, the Ravens could not have possibly picked a better overall first selection to begin the new era of football in Baltimore. A class guy wherever he went and a dominator on the field. His legacy in this town is secured way up there with the old Colt legends.

No one will ever wear the purple 75 again in this town. Great job.

I was not going to do this comment, but must. The reference of one comment to the late Jim Parker was crude, ignorant and for lack of a better word - stupid. I was a boy when Jim Parker played for the Baltimore Colts and that man exuded every characteristic of a great ball player and a great person/role mode. Jim Parker was the Jonathan Ogden of his time or maybe more accurately each was a real example of the conumsate prodessional and role model of his time. Don't run down Jim Parker!!!!!!!!!

Well the announcement was certainly overdue but I am still sad he is leaving. It is the right move but I will miss him. He was the first team draft pick and they couldn't have done any better.
