Death of a Dog May Be Latest Mess for N.F.L.

Perhaps after the autopsy report is released this week, the police will have a better idea whether Jonathan Babineaux, a defensive tackle who just finished his second season with the Atlanta Falcons, represents ... Full Story

He needs exactly the same treatment the dog got. A bash in the head. He is a big man is'nt he, to kill a defenseless dog.

I don't know exactly what caused the incident or how defenseless a pit bulldog is but I know that what he did was wrong. When are professional athletes going to learn that they are always in the eye of the media? This was a very stupid move on the part of Babineaux. It would be really dumb to jeopardize a career in the NFL over such an incident.

Here we have a thread about the Babineaux incident. Hmmm...only two comments. I guess those people in La don't hate him like the folks in Va hate Vick.

One dog killed by an idiot in a fit of hormone induced rage and you want to compare it to years of gruesome animal cruelty that was not only planned but willingly participated in by Vick and posse. You really do have a few screws loose bouncing around inside your skull.

He killed his girlfriend's dog Neutral. If you looked at animal cruelty around Va. and not just this one case, you will find several instances of animal cruelty coupled with spousal abuse or child abuse. It is a symptom of an abusive personality. And, yes I think this is just as bad as Mike Vick's behavior and if that means that I have screws loose, well I'd better go and get a screw driver and tighten the up.

Good God do you have absolutely no ability to ascertain the degree of transgression or culpability based on the severity and duration of willfully committed criminal acts?

You obviously have a severely distorted view of reality when it comes to cases like this.

Do you have no abilities of association. He is still with that woman and she will probably get another dog. They'll know this time not to take the dog to the vet. Also, why did he leave the dog in distress? Why didn't he take the dog to the vet? Why wait until his girlfriend got home.

My former husband and I were both cat lovers. If one of the cats got hurt and it was mine, he didn't call me on the phone and wait for me to get home to take the cat to the vet. He took it there himself.

Wonder if he bought that dog from MV7 kennels?

It's nadfly's way of taking the attention off of Vick and his dogfighting.
You know, let's just talk about football and forget about all that nasty dogfighting stuff. What's done is done. Let's move on and forget.

killing one child is UNACCEPTABLE!
and SHAME ON YOU for that cavalier attitude... when you are old and rotting away in some old folks home and the attendants abuse you, shall we say, "what's done is done"?
I think you may have misinterpreted my post. When I wrote "You know, let's just talk about football and forget about all that nasty dogfighting stuff. What's done is done. Let's move on and forget", I was insinuating that that is what nadfly would like everyone to do.

I saw that article on my cell at work and said WTF? I searched until I saw the date, then I remembered it was last year! I thought, haven't I already been pissed about this? What is Gaddie's point, doesn't she think we already see these things. I have seen and been upset over hundreds of articles. There aren't enough minutes in a day to post them. AND I will still be pissed at her manlove Vick.

If you're living in a glass house...don't throw no stones. Mike Vick is paying the price. Jonathan Babineaux is playing the price.
