Ponder is playing the worst QB in the NFL and Gerhart says "he hasn't noticed a change in him the last couple of weeks".

Gerhart has the same problem alot of TopiX vikings fans have seeing what he wants to see but he is a teammate so I understand.

Ponder should be getting better but he's regressing. He has to play well the next two games or he needs to be fired.

Took 7 years before Alex Smith became a good QB. Are vikings fans that patience?

Comparing Ponder and Webb and then saying Ponder doesn't have it...is like comparing AD and Gerhart and saying AD doesn't have it. The thing that rings true is that Ponder and AD are both trying to play hurt. And that takes nothing away from Webb and Gerhart but no one should judge them right now.

Problem is being hurt is what Ponder does. He is officially injury prone.

Given the condition of our O/L, which CAN NOT block for a pocket passer, Webb may be the way to go. I very much doubt that he can play catch up, move the sticks quickly with pass plays, but that isn't our O/L's strength. Ponder's a pocket passer, that takes time, more than the O/L will get him; Webb is a runner, grab the snap, wait 1 or 2 seconds for blocking to set up...then run. Once defensive coaches figure that out, he will be a Tebow.

My first 4 round of 2012 draft have been scraped. I have to start over. We can't afford doing it my way now that Peterson is gone. We are stuck with Ponder so I was up all night changing the vikings 2012 draft selections and checked it twice. Ponder needs a bigtime running game to be successful. Gerhart is a lifetime backup. That's all I'm going to say.

Have a company meeting (party) in Naples. I was going to see how close you were. If you were close by I was going to suggest we have a beer.

We have another fast RB on the practice squad, Calib King. Now, with AD going on IR, Calib should be brought up, just to see what he's got.
Depending on draft position, I would take Kalil but if not available, the trade down slightly and take OT R Reiff. Miami will make the trade. CB round 2
