Smart moves. 1 year contracts are great motivators.

I'm a bit concerned about the signing of all of these former Indiana graduates who played undered Cam. They couldn't complete in the Big Ten, why will they in the NFL?

I like the signings....The slightly better O-lineman were being way overpaid. Hakim should be a decent replacement for Welker...hopefully he brings similar work ethic.

I agree, then trade down again for xtra picks in the second. We should then draft Greg Olsen in the first round.

IT'S ABOUT TIME CAM+RANDY STARTED TO ADDRESS THE GAPING HOLE IN THE O-LINE.--I HOPE THE FIRST TWO PICKS IN THE DRAFT GET US A QUALITY CENTER AND LEFT TACKLE.--BOYS, IT ALL STARTS IN THE LINE.--NO O-LINE=BEAT-UP QUARTERBACKS AND NO RUNNING GAME.--TOO BAD WANNY AND SABAN NEVER FIGURED THAT OUT!!!

I don't know if you're being sarcastic or not, but we are not a Super Bowl-caliber team, that's a bit pretenious. Seriously, it's looking like the Culpepper experiment has come to an end. Reports are out Trent Green's apparent trade and/or David Carr's inquiry for a trade as well (3rd round or swap 1st round spots 10th for our 9th). Best case scenario, we don't trade for either QBs, wait until either respective QB is released & then sign accordingly. I still believe that we still draft a young signal caller in the mid-round (2nd-4th round) & with our 9th pick, I'm seeing OT Levi Brown or DT Amobi Okoye on many mock drafts. With the Falcons moving to 8th, I think coach Petrino will draft his pupil back in Lousville. So getting Levi Brown makes sense to me. Go Phins!

These moves bring veteran depth. Decent pickups, but doesn't meet our most glaring needs.
