Facts are facts...all I ask is that you continue to show some class. There are too many jerks on these threads who say dumb stuff. Even when the Dolphins signed Green, I didn't wish for him to take a hit that would knock him out of football. I kinda thought it would happen though.
Farve has taken some big hits and yet he's hardly missed any time. Pennington?... he's been hurt for the year without even being hit. I wish good things for Pennington. I really liked him as a Jet QB. I do however hope he loses every game...LOL... especially on Sept. 7th.

Tell us all how many of those passes were thrown over 20 yards and how many were short passes that became more than 20 yards after the catch.

Statistics are often misleading. I like Pennington... it's Dofans who said he suckes ...until now...
Ted wrote:
Jet fans. An item of interest. On passes over 20 yards Penningtons rating is 107.7 and Favre's is only 66.9 Pennington doesn't throw the ball as far but he is much more accurate.
And a question? If he sucks so bad, why did your front office give him that huge contract??

I don't think Packer fans would like to see Farve lose. Honestly I'd like Pennington to succeed... I just hate the Dolphins as they are a rival so I want him so fail.

Had Farve gone to Minnesota ... Packer fans would think differently. The QB is often the difference maker in a team's success. Don't forget the rivalry.

Farve will be fine for Sept 7th. Sure it's an advantage for the Dolphins with Pennington knowing the Jets offense. But on the other hand, I don't think the Dolphin could stop the Jets even though they know the pays.

I think we all can uns-derstand your sentiment. I am sure some Packer fans, would loveto see Favre lose alot too. I myself, like the guy. He still plays the game as if he is still a kid. Packers really screwed up letting him go. But I do hope he loses sept 7th. And, think the fins actually gained an advantage or that 1 game with what all has transpired. I am saying for that 1 game tho. Favre will learn that system, but I dont think he will have it all by sept 7th. ANd CHAD knows it! As will the Dolphins. Rememebr the Bills 1st game against the PATS after the bills got Bledsoe? Pats were the better team over the course of that year, but for that 1 game? Bills whooped them!

Chad is nice guy. But being a nice guy is not enough to make it in the real world and in FootBall. Chad's is NOT a pure passing QB, like a Dan Marino or Tom Brady. A pure passing QB, when they need too, can win a game with JUST their passing ability. Chad's arm is not good enough to do that. So it is very important for CHAD to have a running game to help his passing game. HERM EDWARDS understood that Chad really needed a running game for CHAD to be successful. That is why CHAD and the JETS went to the playoff 3 out of 5 times with HERM EDWARDS. So far, Mangini's offense has had NO real running game for CHAD. Mangini's offense has been a MORE of a passing offense than a running offense so far.

You may have not heard that term, ANY GIVEN SUNDAY! ANd Rememer, Chad Pennington beat the PATS in 2006! noone expected that! ANd Chad Pennington so far is 2-0 against Brett Favre. Jets cant be any better than the Packers, as the vegas oddsmakers are STILL giving the Favreless PACK better odds at winning the superbowl than the FAVRE led Jets.
Speaking of Favre, how is his ARM? IS it still tired after just 1 week of Camp? Chads isnt!

BravPhin.... Last I checked Pennington didn't beat the Pats. THE JETS DID!!
Pennington didn't beat Farve... THE JETS BEAT THE PACKERS.

You're in for a long season if you think Pennington has the arm to win a game on his own. Really... let's say that the Dolphins are down by two TDs last in a game. Do you honestly think that Pennington's arm will bring the Dolphins back? I think Brady can do it. Manning can do it. Favre can do it. But Pennington? Trust me.... Not gonna happen.

As far as Vegas goes. When have those guys been right? Did they pick the Giants to win the SB last year? Give me a break.

Lastly, Favre can have a tired arm hanging off to the side and still out throw Pennington. That's not a rip on Pennington... it's just a fact.

OK Greg, here is a question for you? Who is the Better QB? Chad Pennington, or Jay Fielder?
IMO, it would be CHAD. Jay won alot of games in Miami, didnt he? With a 1 dimensional offence. RUN RUN RUN. Seems to me, that will be a strength of the fins this year. RUN RUN RUN. The idea is, when you RUN RUN RUN< it keeps that other HOF QB OFF THE FIELD. Combine THAT with Chads WAY more accurate passing than say a JAY FIELDER. whom put up ALOT of points against the JETS as I recall,( YEs, he did, that monday night MELTDOWN wouldnt have been a GREAT comeback had FIELDER not put so many points ont he board)
And look Chads 1st performace as a fin! He is just what the fins need right now. a GOOD qb, that WANTS to mentor the younger guys. Favre, well, He i a great QB, but Mentoring is 1 of his weaknesses. The other, the tendancy to throw it to the other team, ALOT.
I do love Favre though, He will help the jets.
