I feel bad for Beck because he was drafted into a terrible situation and received little or no support. He handled himself in a class fashion throughout his stay here and I sincerely wish him and his family the best. He will get another shot in the NFL and I would not be shocked if he was to find success.

What's in the cards for John now that he burned three years with the Phins? Who do you think is going to snatch him up.....?
Maybe he Jet's can use him for... for...Maybe not. I liked him, he just never got a chance to develop with out a front line.
Farewell Beck good luck.

Harvey, you are the best and most unbiased writer at the SS. I give you massive kudos. Why? You mentioned Mr. Beck's unfortunate situation as being put in as starter for the first time in the away games @ Pitt and Philly in HORRIBLE weather. THANK YOU for remembering as much, as it was a Cam folly. What's more, he had a VERY, VERY weak O-line... as was the case with Daunte Culpepper.

It's MOST refreshing to know that someone at the SS knows what's up while giving proper respect to someone who never had a shot what with all that has transpired in the past 2 seasons.

First person to call me a "suck-up" to Harvey is a Cam Cameron lover. I made that biitch (Cam) out in March '07... just ask "Westsider".

I wish John Beck nothing but the absolute best; he's a GREAT guy.

I'm sure you saw this coming Beck, your play was just not up to par for a 2nd round pick. I hope you find a spot on another team partner. I guess there was no trade value.

I'm shocked that they could'nt even get a 7th round pick for him. He will be signed very soon. Another wasted 2nd round pick......

What a class act John Beck is, both at a football player, but more importantly as a human being. It was out of respect for this that certainly led to our coaching staff releasing him so soon, allowing him to seek his fortunes elsewhere. I wish him the best of luck in the future.

With Beck they lost their #2 pick in a bad draft. They picked Ginn with their #1 in that draft. Real consequences when you choose badly.

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Taurus

As Mars turns retro, emotional tension makes you feel as though you're walking on eggshells. The temperature has risen by several notches, making the situation at home more fraught. Better to clear the air quickly and cleanly than to sulk and brood in ways that simply prolong the agony.
