Now my blood is starting to boil. Boil P-U-R-P-L-E. The Viking is coming alive in me.

No offense to the writer of this article, but he said the Vikings bought into an old quarterback that let them down.

Brett Favre helped take the team to a NFC Conference Championship game in the 2009 season. No matter who the QB is, that is no easy task. If they would've won the game and went to the Super Bowl, everything would've been different. People would've been saying the Fantastic 4 (#4 Brett Favre) almost helped the team win the Super Bowl and probaly would've rallied behind him saying give him another chance in 2010. And there is no "I" in team. It was a team effort. The whole team, including the coaching staff and ownership, is responsible for that loss. Not just Fave. But I know the QB gets blamed because he is the leader. At least the team made it to the Conference Championship that year.

And Favre and no team player should be blamed for the shattered 2010 season. Things just got out of control..........fired head coach, 2 starter QB's down to injury, loss stadium due to snow roof collapse, schedule thrown into chaos, roookie QB being thrusted into the final games of the season, a interim head coach having to hold it all together.

Going into the 2011 season the Minnesota Vikings stand poised to sound the Viking horns knowing if they can pull together and finish the disasterous 2010 season with a 6-10 record insead of falling apart they can rally and turn 2011 into a history making franchise comeback season.

Down with the naysayers! The future does look bright!

Put on your horned helmets team! Take up your weapons! They who cheer shall cheer the more! We go to battle! 16 enemies in this war of 2011! We go to conquer! We shall take no prisoners! We will be victorious! The bounty shall be ours! We will not fear the roaring Lions! We will not fear the growling Bears! And if we shall have to shred the Packer Cheese, then we shall shred indeed! We will be relentless! We're not gonna take it anymore!

The Vikings are the warriors of the NFL!

Sound the Viking horns!

Onward we go!

GRRRRR!!!!![Viking Growl]

Forget about 2010. Its over.

This is a brutal set of opponents. Maybe we can go 3-3 in the division, but its still 7-9.

I do admire your Viking Optimism.

But on a positive side, if Avantard gets his Scan Newton wet dream it could be 2-14.
