Great article - Helps me understand where this guy comes from. I think we are going to have some fun in Cleveland. It's exciting to watch the browns again - that whole team is looking good. The operative word here is "TEAM". The chemistry equation - good players, team and good coach is a sure winner.

Finally - "YEAH"

Let me also add--GREAT article. Not really a Browns fan although my son now lives in Cleveland. This is such a good article is actually makes me want to go to a Browns game to see these guys play in person. With all the negative information about pro athletes something like this could turn me into a fan of the Browns. For those long suffering Browns fans, these guys have to have you excited. I wonder how many Hillis and McCoy jerseys are on fans Christmas lists this year.

I am sure that wasn't your goal but the Browns PR folks should give you a huge pat on the back. Great writing.

I agree with the rest of the posters that this was a great article. I didn't pay attention to who wrote until I read the whole thing. Thought for sure it was going to be a Plain Dealer reporter.

As someone who has never cared for the Browns, I now enjoy watching all their games. I knew Colt was going to be something special after he played OSU as a freshman.

Didn't know anything about Peyton until I saw him run in Cleveland and after that first game I knew he was going to be something.

Looks like the Browns got a steal of a deal in the trade with Denver as well as the draft.

This Culinary student is ready to drive the chuckwagon. Easy riding, as I've been on the Brown's bandwagon from birth!

Oh, soooo happy to have the Southern Swagger up on the lake!! This makes watching the Browns fun again. It is exciting! As a southern gal, let me just say...bring the fried chicken, pork rinds, pecan pie and a big ol' jug of sweet tea and hunker down for some great times in football in Ohio. Another reason to love Ohio football is back!!!

Embrace your young QB. Colt McCoy is football savvy - a scholar when
it comes to defense. He makes up for his size with heart and intellect.
Don't let his southern demeanor fool you - he's the smartest QB on the
field. He won just as many academic awards as he did football. Let's
hope he rubs off on your players and fans and raises them up to his
high standards.

Colt MCCoy has something that you can't overcome: a weak arm. So far his play has been average. That's pretty good by Browns' standards but it's not going to get you into the playoffs.

Hillis is a fun guy to watch but he'll be spent in two years. Mark it down. Guys who take that kind of abuse don't last long.

Great article. I didn't know that about McCoy, and I'm really happy he, Hillis, and Thomas are wearing Orange and Brown.

I love this team! Who knows how two hard-working deep southern country boys ended up in northeast Ohio? But I am damn glad they're here! In Hillis and McCoy, we may have our quarterback and feature running back for the next 10-12 years, and we even have Joe Thomas and Eric Steinbach to plow the way! Just wait until we get a few solid receivers. The Browns are going to do some great things in the coming years.

Peyton Hillis & Colt McCoy sybmolize hard work and team unlike the social experiment at the other end of Interstate 71 in Cincinnati that symbolizes all that is wrong in both sport and society, selfishness, laziness, narcissicism and self promotion with zero self discipline with man children Terrell Owens, Ochocinco, Andre Smith and others of the cult of selfishness, indulgence, vanity and chaos.

Go Browns!

To the poster who said Hillis will be spent in 2 years.... He's been doing this for longer than that. I've watched this guy play forever being he and I graduated the same school only 2 years apart. He was my favorite player in college and now the NFL and will be until he's done. I'm very happy the people in Cleveland can now go "LaBRAT who?"
