Please Big 10+1 football season is between Labor Day Weekend and the weekend before Thanksgiving. I hardly remember any of their regular season games played on a frozen tundra.

This is CFB, not NFL playoffs. Besides, a lot of Big 10+1 programs have indoor facilities. Visiting teams from up north get to practice in the area, go to the beach, and visit theme parks leading up to their bowl game.

See how many of those midwest farm kids would hold up in summer two-a-days in the extreme heat and humidity in states like Texas, Florida, and Louisiana.

I remember how two seasons ago, there was concern about Illinois and Wisconsin playing a conference game in October in temperatures above 80 degrees. What a laugh.

The big 10 is badly disadvantaged by their season ending so early.

In the BCS championship game against the Gators a couple of years ago, I felt the Buckeyes were extremely rusty and did not do their favorite status any justice.

Don't get me wrong the Gators won fair and square. I just think it would have been a more competitive and much more interesting game if it had not been, in effect, the first game of the "new season" for the Buckeyes.
