I have been a Raider fan, scratch that. The Raiders have been part of my life since 1980. I was 8 years old when I watched Plunkett lead the Raiders to SB 15. That year our family moved from Castroville to Washington DC. I didn't want to move and the Raiders were part of what I could hold.

All my family became Redskin fans and for SB18 my mom bought 3 Redskin banners and 1 Raider banner for me. The Raiders were the greatest team in the NFL. I have NEVER left the Raiders and this year is my 30th anniversary as a fan. You can name a year and I will tell You the Raiders record and highlights and can name at least 25 players for that year.

My heart is broken, I am at my end.

Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is not necessarily insanity; but it is clearly psychological denial, which, when indulged in for a prolonged period of time closely resembles insanity...or at least stupidity.

I no longer expect great things from the Raiders, I have NO faith in Al.

I can't stop being a Raider. Just like I couldn't stop being an American. But I can leave the country, or watch another team until Al removes Himself or dies.

All I can do is wait, and wait, and wait.

Come on Lee....Never say Die!...Al is a GOOD thing....HE is still Trying...which is what you want out of an owner...we are close to making that turn.... I too have been a fan for over 30 years....lots of success lots of heartbreak. But Al Always tried to put the best team he can out there....has he always made good decisions? HELL NO....but he Always wants to win. If Gallery hadn't gone down with an injury our O-line would be in much better shape. and if our WR's could catch a ball we would be in much better shape. Heck we still have a decent shot at a winning record and I think we will get there....Just a matter of things clicking...we have the talent...and its getting close...Don't give up on them and certainly never count out Al. I am excited for what the rest of the season brings...I couldn't say that the last couple seasons at this point. Cable is the right guy and I think Russell is too. To give up on a guy(Russell) you expect to resurrect the franchise after four games is crazy. We will be all right. I REALLY think we are close! Don't give up now!

I wasn't into football when the Raiders won Superbowl XVIII but I was alive when it happened. I just fell in love with Bo Jackson as a child and was heartbroken when his career ended. I continued to be a Raider fan. My family is all Dallas Cowboy fans and it was sickening to have to put up with them during their dominance in the 90s.

here we go again ...

"Commitment to excellence!"
"The greatness of the Raiders!"
"Pride and poise!"
"Just win baby!"

Okay, do I have to clean up that mess or can I leave it for 'Raider Nation'?

I too, was a Raider fan back in the 70s/early 80s. Stabler, Belitnikov, Branch and all were a hoot to watch and cheer for. Then the 49ers started winning Super Bowls and I jumped on that bandwagon. But I've been on this bandwagon for over a quarter century now, through a number of pitiful seasons, so I guess I qualify as a true Niners fan. And even though we might not go all the way this year (although stranger things have happened) they're a fun team to watch. Unlike the Raiders. GO 49ERS!!!!!!

My brother and I have been Raider fans since 1970! I have had a Oakland Raider as a football coach in high school, and own a great deal of Raider paraphanaila. And will continue to be a Raider fan until it's my time to leave. There's rebuilding, and there is just horrible playing. In my humble opinion, the Raiders lost their mystique sometime ago. There was a time when they were feared, and the attitude was come rain or shine, if you play the Raiders, expect a battle. Now...omg, now, no team in the NFL takes them as a threat or a feared oppenent. We need a complete overhaul of attitude, players and coaches.... Oh and for the person whom said Russell has only had 4 games, Ummm, if I am correct didn't he start for us last year? And sat his big butt out the first year wanting $10 mil and had not proven himself? His big butt should have come to camp this year 30 - 40 lbs lighter, mobile, and should have been working all off season with his receivers. That kid was more worried about his paycheck then his playing ability..... ARRRRGGGGHHHH.... that is what is wrong with professional sports!!!!
