Dude, I'm on an OSU message board posting about OSU. It just happens to be about how much I hate them.

Maybe you took last night's loss too hard and are taking it out me?

Is that the best you do is get mad at a persons comment that lives in FL?

Lets not get confused on the real issue here. Jim Tressel and his coaching staff. For three years we keep seeing the same poor decisions when we play against the top programs in the country. Allowing Pyror to throw two long passes at the end of the first half vs getting a 1st down and going into the half leading 10-7. Poor decision Jim! I was hoping not to have a flash back on the horrible defensive calls in the Texas game last year. Also, I think we are all very tired of the off tackle right and left running plays that every team in the country has figured out. Ohio State fans needs to realize that Terrell Pryor is not as good as he is made up to be. If your confused, watch the last minute of last nights game over. Coach Tressel you need to hand over the offensive play calling to someone else and be the head coach

Hats off to USC. Their offense produced when it needed to. Hats off to Ohio State as well. They played with intensity and swagger - on both sides of the ball. I hear pretty much the same comments on this forum from everyone. Jim Tressel is too conservative and his natural instinct is to sit on a lead and play field position football. He hasn't learned that elite football programs go for the throat each and every time they walk on the field. You cannot consistently beat the likes of USC, Florida, LSU - even Penn State by kicking field goals. The OSU offense is predictable and lacks imagination and that responsibility falls directly on the coaches. We actually came to kick some a** last night. The line was firing off, making holes - then Tressel's sphincter tightened up as usual!

In my opinion, OSU (Gene Smith especially) needs to decide if winning the Big Ten every year is enough. If it is, then Tressel is fine - even though winning the Big Ten each year is no longer a guarantee (did anybody see Michigan and Penn State yesterday). Or, does OSU want to be considered a team that competes for and wins national respect each year. I think the fans have spoken.....we want to whoop some SEC and PAC-10 a**! Not sure if Jim Tressel and his incompetent offensive coordinators can get it done.

On a side note, I thought that Terrelle Pryor worked all summer on his footwork and delivery. Early in the game he looked great, but when the game got tight he reverted to terrible form. Poor kid has the weight of the world and unforgiving fans on his shoulders!

Pryor looked like a lost and confused little boy out there, Tressels lack of confidence surely rubbed off on him. Pryor is WAY over rated and got spanked by a true freshmen who out played him under pressure. Typical Ohio State, choke on every big game, what a let down. Fire Tressel and the p?ssy play calling and pay someone else millions of dollars who has a set between his legs and wants to win. F?ck the conservative b.s.
Keep Tressel in there and we will keep losing the big games, what a p?ssy. We could have won this game 4 different times!!

BOO HOO OSU is still playing like the gaggers they are. If your going to play the game play to win, not like your afraid of losing. This is why i like the falcons better, at least they can beat army and navy with decisive actions instead of luck.

Sorry, I think roadworker is right. They had USC at its own 5, facing a second-and-19 with 6:09 left in the game, down by 5.

The defense, which had been tough as nails to that point, played not to lose, and it blew up in their faces.

Another statement maybe we need a change of assistant coach at Ohio State such as a new Offensive and Defensive Coordinators. It would be nice to see Ohio State open things up more and then become less conservative such as attempting a 53 yard field goal that Pettrey as proven he can do instead of playing the field position card. At least if he would have missed USC scored would have given Ohio State more time drive down the field. Just my opinion

me. Damn, damn, damn.

Pryor interception, play calling at end of 1st half that gave ball back to USC to score a TD, play calling in 4th quarter, killed OSU.

Coaching killed OSU

Had there been any good offencive play calls the deffence wouldnt have been on the field all night. You cant expect a deffence to save you when you never give them time to rest. The deffence was great and doesnt deserve any blame in this loss. They beat USC. The offencive play calling kept USC in the game. USC was losing the entire game until the end. They were not the better team, they were just given a better chance to win by there coach.

Over 100 players on the team, plenty of players to give the defense "a rest". You might be surprised how a second or third deep defense can play...

I am so tired of choking on the big games. OSU needs to get a head coach like the Bob Stoops and dare I say it Urban Meyer, who have consistantly proven that they can coach under pressure.

Recruiting is everything, quit picking up the hometown boys (that are mediocre)and start looking out of state for some recruits that are much better.

Its time for OSU to get out of the dark ages and move into this century, no more is it acceptable to win the Big 10, we need some national titles!

If OSU's defense is only conditioned to play 3 quarters, maybe they need to spend a little more time on the practice field. Otherwise, USC just showed the rest of the country how to take them out, just play ball control offense for 45 minutes, then take over once their D starts getting tired.

No ones defense can be on the field the amount of time that OSU defense was out there and continue to hold a good team. USC was beaten the entire game up until the very end. Had the offence had any kind of decent game plan, they would have scored at least two other times. USC is lucky that they donít have Tressel. If Pete Carole had been calling the plays for the Buckeyes, USC would have walked out of Ohio Stadium with a huge loss.
