Intentional grounding is a spot foul. I confirmed this in the ncaa rule book.
On their last possesion, OSU snapped the ball from the 36 and TP threw it from the 26 and was called with intentional grounding. Probably the right call, but how the h*ll did the refs spot it at the 17????
i checked the tape 3 times, they took 9 yards away.
I'm not saying TP played well (heyward did) or that it would have made a difference but this was a major error in spotting (It that had me run to the rule book and check if the penalty was loss of down and ten yards from the spot was spot.) There is no question the refs jobbed osu in the final seconds.

Coaching lets the players down again. Ohio State will not win a big game until the coaches remember that touchdowns are better than field goals.

Tressel is the worst most conservative coach in the history of big time college football

What was Trossel thinking burning all of the timeouts on the defense and not even give Pryor and the Buckeye Offense a chance ! Trossel was clearly out coached when the coaching really counted. Trossel should do nothing but apologize to the players and Buckeye Nation for a pathetic job of preparing himself to compete. Jim Trossel was not mentally prepared for the pressure and was clueless in the final minutes of Ohio State's biggest game of the year next to Michigan. There should be no excuses for such lame coaching !

Wake up Jim ! You remind me of Lindy Infante !

That was my season. I'm not following another game. Will record and look in on them but that's it. This team especially the offense needs to grow up. Don't get me wrong a better played game but damn coach to go for the throat. Even JTs first qtr. Play calling suprised me. But terrelles not ready. Two receivers is all he's got?

Why does nobody in the Buckeye Program realize that 1. Jim Bollman must go (despite the offensive line showing up for once in some capacity), and 2. Jim Tressel should probably relenquish playcalling duties?
We couldn't establish anything on offense, and as well as our defense played, once again, the offense let us down. Our absolute ineptitude in running the damn ball is embarrassing. This is THE Ohio State University. When did we decide that running the ball wasn't a priority? Since when can we not pick up 3 yards in a cloud of dust? Run the damn ball, put a hat on a hat, and make people remember what the Big Ten is known for - what Woody Hayes started, and seemingly what everyone except Barry Alvarez forgot during the 1980s, 1990s & 2000s.

Time for Tressel to go. He went way too conservative on defense on that last USC drive - just like he's done his whole coaching career. One of THE most overrated college football coaches in history.

Woody Hayes has to be turning in his grave.

You brainless, spoiled little jerks make me sick. Ty Willingham is a thousand times the head coach that any of you deserve.

You missed the most important thing of the evening:

******** TRESSEL MUST GO ********

No ifs, ands or buts. He is THE most overrated coach in college football history. If people can't see that by now, then they never will.

In Tressel's defense, his players do great things in the community, and they rarely embarrass the program the way the players did under John Cooper.

However, His playcalling is suspect at best. His loyalty to his longtime assistants borders on lunacy. He has beaten exactly two teams that he hasn't simply overwhelmed with talent: Michigan in his first year and Miami in the 2002 Title Game.

Yes, he beats Michigan regularly, but a man who is so blind to his own staff's shortcomings that he is incapable of effectively addressing his coaching faults should not be in charge of one of the best programs in the country.

Either Tress makes the changes to staff and relinquish playcalling duties, or it may be time for the Buckeyes to go in a different direction.

Tressel may have problem in Nov, because Rich Rod does go for the throat.

Tress has been cashing his checks on Michigan wins.

His days may be numbered.
