Too Legit To Quit: Baltimore Ravens Midseason Report
For lack of better phrasing, this is awkward. Clearly, the Ravens were not expected to be sitting in third place in the AFC North at 4-4 heading into Week nine.

The following did not materialize for the Ravens:
1. a seamless transition on defense after Rex left
2. Landry coming back fully from the neck injury; thus Leonard was not
3. replacing the intensity of Bart Scott
4. replacing Stover successfully
5. retirement of Rolle
The lack of corners able to play man coverage has disrupted the core philosophy of the defense and hurt the team immensely. The Ravens will have some significant rebuilding of the defense in order to challenge in the division in the next few years. Remember the early years when we had a potent offense but a defense that could not stop anyone. Go Ravens!
