I'd say that was a combo from both Clausen and Tate: Clausen put that ball EXACTLY where it needed to be, and Tate made a great catch, took the hit, and hung on to the ball. Even I have to admit that was a beautiful play. I'm not sure anyone could have defended against that.

I'm not sure anyone else could have caught that. I was going nutz. Mays seemed like he just got a bit slow and to big.

I think he was playing a bit too tentatively last year, in comparison to previous years where he played with, as my HS coach used to say, "reckless abandon." I don't know if he was trying to do too much or if the injuries forced him to stay back and play for the tackle rather than the pick/deflection, or what. Either way, it still doesn't take anything away from the Clausen/Tate play. Suffice it to say that I sure am glad we don't have to deal with them this year.

His 40 time really helped him out. He overplays at times, but not too many teams are going to pass on him.

Well I really wish you did have to deal with them this year, but good luck to them. 1st round money with no rookie cap is hard to pass up.
