Farve will be punished by the MIAMI D LINE in a couple of weeks.
After they slam him a few times, Im sure the playbook will get a little but confusing !

I can't wait for the defense to shift a lot before the snap. tHe stuff going through his head is going to make him more ineffective. 3-4 lineup with different LB blitzers will make Farve wish he never came back.Hot Sept heat and the rookie de's crashing down on him may make it his last nfl game.
My prediction Ronnie/Ricky run for 225 yards, Our QB 2 tds. No inceptions. Jets 3 interceptions from Farve, 5 sacks. Farve benched late 3rd quarter. Volstean the great linebacker from NY, 0 tackles, 0 sacks.

MIAMI 37 Jets 10.

A Lot of confident fans for a team that went 1-15 last season. Have you all mailed thank you letters to the Ravens yet?

I gotta say that these 4 posts in here have to be among the dumbest things i have ever read,..thanks,..I am now stupider thanks to you guys. Do you think for one minute that brett won't have this down if he doesn't already have it down. His ability to read defenses isn't going to change,...duh!!!!! All he has to do is audible a play,..as of today he has over 100 plays down to where he is as comfortable with them as he was a packer. All it is is different terminology,..not different defensive reads. Give me a break,..this truly has to be among the dumbest shit I have ever read!!!!! Next time wrote it in crayons and scan it and then post it,..so atleast we know it is coming from a child!!

first of all, they were 1-15. Second, they have belonged to the Jets for several years now. So, until they actually beat the Jets...their fans should just chill and hope for the best. Certainly shouldn't be talking smack though. Favre may not be in his prime but obviously the Jets felt he was a better option then Chad.

...." the jets felt he (Mr. lets hold your team hostage Brett Favre) was a better option then (sic) Chad".

Here's the translation: we better win more than 4 games or we're outta here.

Stupid jets, you mortgaged your pitiful future for one (1) season and a QB who retires every year.

Clearly, Farve is a huge upgrade over Noodle Arm. Jets are in the hunt with this addition.

It's not about the future. It's all about winning now. thats become the name of the game. As for the Jets, I think they have their qb of the future on their roster right now. His name is Brett, his last name isn't Favre though. If he hangs back and pay's attention to Favre and how he plays the game, he can add to what looks to be a bright future. It sure wont hurt his development.

Also, I hear that the salary cap is going to catch up to the Jets. I have been hearing that about the Redskins ever since Dan Snyder got there. Sure, they have not won the Superbowl. At the same time though they have not had to totally dismantle the team like most said they would. The Jets just like the Redskins have people who can crunch the numbers to make things work and continue working.

Honestly...who can argue Pennington vs Favre? 32 vs 38, it's not a huge gap. The Jets did what they had to do to win now.

Yea...we are confident.
Although we won only 1 game last year, 6 other losses were by 3 points or less.
The team has been totally overhauled by Bill Parcells since his arrival.
And,you should remember that 2 of the jets wins were against a Cam Cameron coached 1-15 team that was decimated with injuries.
The jets will not be much better with Farve and after he is carted off the field, much worse.
Youze jets fans are soft and fuzzy like the team you root for.

Josh, you and Mr Magoo are indeed silly cartoon characters.
Farve is 38 and has retired how many times?
He is one good sack away from IR.
Penny is at his prime at 32.
That is a huge gap.

Penny wasn't prime at any time in his career,...to even mention his name with Favres is an insult. How many pro bowls has he played in?How many M.V.P.'s has he won? How many NFL records does he hold? How many superbowls has he been in? That should pretty well sum up your QB,..lol,..what a joke!!!

The Jets had 4 wins, the Dolphins had 1. The Dolphins might have lost a lot by 3 or less...that does not matter. Good teams find ways to win. Bad teams find ways to lose. The Jets and Dolphins were both bad teams last year.

However, the Jets went out and made a dramatic improvement to the offensive line. That should help Favre do what he needs to do.

As for the Dolphins...Parcells will turn them around. I'm not going to argue that, the man is a no-nonsense proven winner. I just think with the offensive line problems that the Dolphins have had it will take more then 1 season to get them back into the playoff's. Plus, Pennington cannot succeed with what he brings to the table if he is not given any time. He looked good in the preseason game but he wasn't getting a full on blitz either.

Because of Chad...I honestly cannot hate the Dolphins nearly as much as I used too. I really hope he does well there. I just think at this juncture that Favre is still the better option. Opens up the playbook more then Pennington can.
