I guess we have now another team that is going to compete for rankings and players and so, right now, USF is #2 in the state unless Miami has a very good season because Dadgumm it Bowden is probably not going to do much.

Yeah, right now, USF is #2 in the state.

USF could be number 1 in the state when its all done. Thats a lot of Bull but great game......Amazing but the 3rd and 4th best teams could be UCF and FAU, then FSU and maybe UM. UM really looks poorly coached this year. Bet they wish they had a winning coach back.

usf fans enjoy the win and Congradulations! Now do that against a real football team. The big east is garbage. west virginia was overrated. usf would be in the cellar if they were in the ACC. That's right and Bobby Bowden approves this message.

the sheer depth of high school football talent in florida means plenty of quality players are still left over even after the ''big three'' are done signing players. you just dont win without having good players. and yes, usf IS for real.

Not a surprise, and not an upset. The Bulls are that good, sports fans. They won (as I predicted), and Grothe didn't play a very good game. But, the defense is overwhelming and fast, and VW offense fell apart. End of story.

Yeah, here it comes, the old WVU must have been overrated. Tell that to the Gator fan who was on here yesterday going on and on about what a great team WVU is and how it would overwhelm USF.

And what was #17 Auburn? The FIU JV or something? You better hope the Gators beat Auburn because if they don't, guess who is DEFINITELY the top team in Florida?

I realized last year that the Bulls had surpassed UM & FSU as the #2 team in the state.
Who would've thunk it! Great job USF!

Hey dummy, Randy Shannon has more wins than losses. Sounds like a winning coach to me.

the Bulls defense is big upfront and fast and smart in the secondary.

they seemed to be schooling the line of scrimmage. they are good. if they had a QB and better WR's they would be top 5 team.

Great game to watch. USF looked good. They appear to be a program to keep an eye on. Congratulations and good luck the rest of the season.

The Bulls can beat anybody in the state.....but they gotta do it on the field. The Canes and Noles look like they can be had, until you play them. Their a hell of a lot tougher than they look at times. But for today, congratulations to USF on a solid victory and an amazing program.

Now we will expect to see more coverage of USF in this crappy Sun Sentinel sports section. We deserve at least the same as what you give UCF and FAU. Get on the bandwagon and give your readers and USF alum what we deserve.

Best team in Florida? What? Did some other state annex Gainesville without me knowing?

I knew I would hear some jackass say that WV was overrated. They were the #2 ranked offense in the nation and the Bulls defense shut them down. WV is 15-1 over the last two years against all other opponents. WV is 0-2 against USF the last two years. Give the Bulls program some credit.

Congrats USF fans. WVU made way too many mistakes to beat a team like USF. The Bulls have one of the best d-fences in the nation. I was really impressed with the crowd too. WVU had all kinds of trouble trying to communicate(especially Jarrett Brown, he was shook) WVU 7 turnovers 3 crucial, 5 bad center snaps. WVU doubled up USF on total offense, but with those mistakes nobody is going to beat a South Florida. I'd credit your crowd for alot of that. WVU looked like it was the first spring practice of the year. The good news...WVU D played very well, and if they keep playing that way the Big East is not lost yet. The bad news...Pat White may be out awhile, and Brown's ability kept WVU in the game, but his decision making killed us. Now I have to count on Rutgers,Louisville,or Cinci to take out a good Bulls team. ( I never thought I'd say I'm counting on Rutgers in my life) Does anybody know where those games are played. Hopefully USF has to go to Rutgers or Louisville.
