The return of the refs was late for a lot of teams. There is no doubt the refs changed outcomes. It's just that the timing of errors in most games (early and often) made it more difficult to gage the full effect. The return of the real refs is good for the entire league. Better late than never.

I think the Pack will be better now because the real refs are back and they'll call illegal contact. The Packers are designed as a team for the current set of rules where the receivers run free, not get mugged
At the risk of repeating myself

It made the upset more likely. Those railing against the return of the qualified referees either are anti-union whackos or they think their crappy team might do better with the poor officiating. In any event, the people that didn't want the best and most competent refs had some weird agenda that didn't include a concern for the integrity of the game.

It's unfortunate it had to take that last game and countless criticism for this to happen.More than likely if that game didnt wind up like it did, those hack refs would still be officiating. The uproar that wound up after that game was too much for roger goodhead to ignore.

To some people it is little consolation that the real refs returned, but IMHO the return of the best available refs will not only help repair the integrity of the game, it will help the Packers! Good teams are the most damaged by poor officiating. I believe the short term pain is worth the long term gain.

The Pack should have had that game well in hand before this particular play and this wouldn't be an issue. Did we all watch the same game LMBO because Green Bay didn't do the necessary things to win and subsequently lost on a bad call.
