Whining and questioning calls after the game is for LOSERS !!..... Especially after Tillman's indefensible stupidity. . |
Right on the money, Bill. It's one thing to make a mistake in the heat of a play but its shear stupidity to do what Tillman did when you've just stopped the opposing team deep in their own territory in overtime. I don't care what the other team was doing. Take it like a (smart) man and leave it to the refs. Winning the game would have been the best revenge for dirty play
Also leave your teammate getting punched and elbowed on the ground while he's trying to get up |
You'd be lying if you'd say you wouldn't do exactly what Tillman did, and if you wouldn't, you'd be a pansy. I dont fault Tillman at all. Offsetting penalties should have been called, at the very least
. And, what did it get him ? He certainly didn't look "manly" by beating the hell out of anyone, it was a stupid jumping on...... It cost them the play,..... It cost them the game ..... And it cost him universal ridicule for stupidity. Gee,..... Great tradeoff ! . |

Tillman was not the reason the Bears lost that game.
It was the usual systematic meltdown. And at least for me, Tillmans's earned a couple free passes. What he did was indeed still stupid.. however it should of never come down to that. |
. No,... I'm not saying that Tillman was the sole reason that we lost the game ... But without that penalty, they probably would have WON the game in spite of themselves. . |
You can't look at one play and blame Tillman for the whole game. If that's the case, there were a number of plays you could pinpoint with just as much blame. You can look at the turnovers the offense failed to capitalize on in the first quarter. Get two TDs instead of two field goals with that shit QB you have in and there would've been no problem at the end of the game. You want to blame Tillman? Where's the thanks for his 4th forced fumble of the season, which right after it happened, Kyle Orton threw the epitome of stupid interceptions which was returned for a TD. Take away neckbeards stupid INT and you don't lose the game. And there are many others. To point at one player on one play and say that's the game is stupid. The Bears offense sucked, and the defense caved after holding their lame asses up all day and getting nothing out of it. That's why they lost. |

And exactly what was "Peanut Brain" Tillman going to do to a 6'8", 320 lineman? I've said this in another thread, but it bears repeating here. Everyone who has ever played the games knows that stuff happens at the bottom of the pile, especially later in the game (and a game that started with a scrum, at that). Eyes get poked, fingers get bent back, crotches get kicked. I personally remember having my leg purposely stomped on (with metal spikes) when the other player got up. It's mental as much as physical, and Tillman obviously lost the mental game on Sunday. Everyone also knows that the guy who starts is gets flagged about 1% of the time. The other 99% of the time, it's the imbecile who wasn't even involved and comes flying in long after it's over, to "protect his teammate." Yeah, right. Tillman made a bonehead play and directly lost the game. You can say all you want about the pick-6 by Orton (in the second quarter) or the missed FG by Gould (of course, a 48 yarder should be automatic, right?) or Vasher getting beat on the last big pass play, but none of that matters without the penalty. It would have been 4th down inside the Tampa 10 yard line. At worst, we would have gotten the ball back at midfield. Special teams may have come up big and ended the game right there. But instead, that one stupid mistake took all the wind out of the defense's sails and the game was over. |

Before the season started, I thought the Bears would go 6-10. Then they beat the Colts. I thought that I would need to revise my prediction.
But no, this average team will go 6-10. No verticle passing game, a defense that plays 3 quarters, some very questionable offensive plays in short yardage situations, and players not using their 'peanuts'. Lovie, the clock is ticking loudly. |

Tell the Chicago Bears to stop complaining. They probably did grab the mans genitals since the bears are all gay. Tampa did beat those little wussy bears fair and square. How about those Dolphins?

You must be very young, because you obviously have forgotten the gay pirate uniforms that Tampa used to have. Back to the beach for you, the guys in their thongs are calling you... |

typical florida, miami are a bunch of crybaby referee butt kissers who look at the ref after every play to get a penalty called on the opposing team. Tampa Bay is just as bad as Miami. waa waa he touched me! I'm telling my referee boyfriend.
