Well actually that's true, he hasn't said anything since he went out last year. It's been mostly the media, so called insiders and loser back up quarterbacks that have nothing better to do. I think unless they got something obsence for him it's idiotic to get rid of him.

The Giants would be crazy to get rid of Shockey. He plays the game 250 percent and gives it his all. He got hurt when most guys would have packed it in. Yeah, he wants the ball ALL the time. That's what great football players on offense and defense want: they want the ball.

I would not disagree that Shockey is worth keeping (unless a very good trade is offered). I would however disagree that the first criteria of a great player is that they want to win. Shockey seems a little distant from the team that just won a SuperBowl. He must wish that he was healthy and participating right dwon to the last play but he must know that he contributed. Somehow he comes across as only with the team when he is emphasized though we must all admit we don't really know the guy. It's the vibe he is giving off.

One does not have to be a mind reader to see that Shockey does not want play in N.Y. For his own reasons he just seems to give off vibes that he would like to play for a different team. Maybe he is sick of N.Y. media or current people running the organization. I would not be shocked if he did not play for the Giants next season. He even hinted recently that due to injuries he might sit next season. Does'nt sound like a guy chopping at the bit to play for the Giants. Perhaps it would be better for all parties to part ways.
