Jeremy Shockey is not a saint. Well, no kidding. The talented but controversial tight end has a better chance of being Cantonized than canonized.

If he wants to be a receiver, let him be a receiver. The G-Men have two decent up and coming tight ends to share the duties next season. Why not line up Shockey in a wide out slot and let him "post up" on short routes over the middle and outs towards the side line. He's got good hands and decent speed for a guy his size and the combination of Plaxico and Shockey would be a tough one to defend if you are the opposing defense.

Trade Shockey? Hmmmmm...let's see....who'd want him? How about 30 other teams! Jeremy stays.Period.The team does though need to give Strahan until June 1st to decide if he's staying or retiring.Enough of hs selfish "I am God" attitude.

Who needs Shockey. For every 15 yards gained is a 15 yard penalty. He is a cancer on the team. Bad move not to trade him.

Jeremy Shockey is a heck of a Football Player. If he can drop the attitude, put the team first, and just play the game, the Giants are better off with him on the team. Whether or not that happens, time will tell. Part of me thinks he will be easier to control since it is he who now has something to prove to the Giants..after all, they did sort of manage okay without him last year.

At least Shockey can go into next year knowing he's not irreplaceable, and maybe he'll work harder and eliminate some of the stupid mistakes he makes. Plus, the Giants could run the two tight end offense with two legitimate pass catchers at those positions.

Shockey to stay! Blah!!! He better do his job, show up to training camp and finally play with his team instead of his normal bull. Whatever it is he has been doing on his own clearly doesn't work.Step up and be a team player.Work with your team instead of without and show us Giants fans why we should be happy with you on our team. Otherwise just don't show up.

Shockey sure had a good time drinking beer and laughing it up instead of showing support on the sidelines. He comes across as a self-indulgent party boy who is wasting a wealth of talent. He had a LOT of drops this year and perhaps he ought to think about blocking if he can't hold on to the ball and help the team win. We live in a stats oriented generation that only cares about "leading yards caught" unfortunately...

Nice move by our new GM.
Let Shockey twist in the wind.
There was no way the TE was getting
traded without a team giving up a
1st rounder for him. Now all the
teams that inquired about him will
have to pay more next year when
they come calling. Look for Shockey
to be in the slot more this season.
Also look for the G-men to move him
before next years draft.. I think
the G-men will be looking to move up
in next years draft. A team with a
top ten pick could land Shockey..
I see Shockey going to a AFC team.
We will see how desprate the Saints
get..
