The whole country is going to see the Silver & Black rise again at the expense of the overrated Mike Shanahan and his Broncos....

Let's not get ahead of ourselves guys... We might win 8 game and that would be great but dont go and call the Raiders a play off team bro, cuz it just aint gonna happen.

I would agree. Yet every time that I see Eli raising that Lombardi on the NFL Network commercial, I still shake my head in disbelief! I.e. losing Tiki, and their starting left tackle in the offseason, Eli looking far from a Superbowl MVP, Coughlin looking like he might be run out of town, Strahan missing training camp, losing their first two games, losing Shockey to injury, winning all those road games not to mention the Superbowl to the "juggernaut" Patriots!? Improbable, yes. Crazy, yes. The reason the NFL is the greatest league in the world, and every fan can hope for glory at the start of every season, absolutely!

While it may seem to be too optimistic to see the Raiders in the playoffs tis upcoming season, the fact that they lost games last year where a break here and there might have meant more wins. And why not. Haven't we seen teams go from worst to first? It is not like it has not happened before. With the offseason additions and with the upcoming draft, the team will continue to improve.

A lot of that will depend on how the team gels during off/preseason....If they can start clicking fairly early in the season, we could have a very good year. But again anytime you add/drop a bunch of players it takes some time to adjust.

Do you really care how educated they are? If a man is running 100yds a game and gets two TD's does it really matter? I use to have the same view point, however teams do a good job of minimizing the face time the uneducated players get in front of the camera. Now if they were the "team spokeman" then yes it would be a problem...Also keep in mind that these players have worked incredibly hard all there lives to get to where they are...now granted most of them have worked hard in sports only...but whats wrong with that if you know you can make a career out of it. I busted my but in college and don't make near the amount these players do....does that mean I deserve it more because I busted my butt in college and not in sports? That's like saying I worked very hard to be a History teacher but Since I worked hard in school and not in football....I deserve to make the same money a NFL star makes....It's ludicris. They worked hard to get there cut as did I...Just a difference in pay scale for what we do. You can try and say "but they're role models for kids"...But I blame the parents if there kid is going nuts for a gold toothed moron that can't put a sentence together.

Daily Horoscope for December 17

Pisces

If you want to make the best of the day you should lock yourself away and work on your own. This will make it easier to concentrate, especially if you're trying to focus on something that's fiddly or difficult. If you've got something on your mind at the moment it will be worth having a quiet word in someone's ear because they'll help you to get things into their proper perspective.
