Sorry to disappoint you, but I wasn't in hiding. I had a very tragic loss in my family that made me realize how little this forum, and especially the childish antics exhibited here, are worth in the grand scheme of things. A 36 year old father of 3 is gone and left behind are my 2 young nieces and my nephew. Try to remember that when YOU think of what's truly important in this world. If there's people in your lives that you don't get to show enough love to, it's time to stop dwelling on people who don't touch your lives. I wish I had every second I spent on here back so I could spend them with my brother, even if it was just chatting online. Hope you never have to feel the same way.

If what you have stated is accurate, then my condolences. We have all suffered loss(es), which hopefully helps us grow. Maybe feeling the pain of losing a loved one, will enlighten you to those who lose a pet. Animals are as much a part of our family as a two legged human(sometimes more.) They love us unconditionally, and just ask for that love and respect to be returned.
To belittle us, with the inferences to beastiality and peanut butter, not only shows a lack of maturity, but a lack of compassion.

Michael vick, who so brutally engaged in killing, mutilating animals, who were absolutely no threat to him: shows a sociopathic personality. One does not have to love animals, to see this is not a man, but a beast! It is not about serving 19 months, it is not because they were"just dogs", and certainly not because of vick's "poor decisions."THIS IS A unremorseful MONSTER ; you celebrating his existence, puts you just one step above him!

My mother died, and my beloved geneva, was by my side, and was my comfort. They are sensitive, giving creatures. If what you have stated about your family member, is factual, I wish you had the companionship of a pet. Maybe then, you would not only learn what unconditional love is, but your grief would lessen faster. You would learn what it really means to be a man. Many of your posts, show, you have not yet achieved that.

You would be a more complete person, and a better man. Those who are responsible for an animal(preferably thru rescue),

cont. of above: those of us responsible for an animal, are less self absorbed. They teach us the meaning of nurturing and love without conditions. I have had animals my whole life, and I have children. All three are into rescue, and veterinary work. I feel sorry, if your family did not allow you the joy of having a pet to grow up with.
People always disappoint, animals never do. Anyone who celebrates and thinks it is acceptable to glorify a man without values or ethics(vick), has a part of their psyche missing.
I hope your nephews have the love of an animal to help them grieve. They sense our pain, and forgive all. I believe if you continue to post, we will be able to judge, if you have really suffered this loss. Hopefully, as I stated above, this will make you a better person.

WOW! What a judgmental and self absorbed post. To tell someone you don't even know that hopefully the loss of a brother will make them a better person? And before you make assumptions about me. I have lost a parent, my children have grown up with pets of all kinds, we have lost beloved pets, one as recently as this past December and we have adopted unwanted animals. However, being an animal lover, in my opinion, does not give one the right to judge anyone, even Michael Vick. You need to get over your self-righteous self.

well, you are entitled to your opinion, as am I. There has been alot of b%llshit written on this blog. The truth is vick is not the most despised athlete without good reason. If you want to forgive a person who has never apologized for brutalizing animals, then so be it!A person, who still believes "his pain of going to jail and being hated" is soooo much worse than others can even imagine. MEMEMEMIKEVICK: that's fine if you just wish to be a narcissistic ahole. JUST leave the animals alone. In case you haven't heard, they have no voice(unlike mike dewayne vick!)p.s. as far as personal tragedy: who hasn't had plenty? Most decent humans build on it. I cannot say what is true and what isn't. THE ONLY VERIFIABLE TRUTH is vick has gone against society's norms of morality his entire life, and been rewarded with millions of dollars. This is a disgrace. The NFL and those fools who wish to overlook his character flaws, are only contributing to the problem.

PS.since you just came out of no where,on the vick posts: I can only assume, you may possibly be ; let's see..... hmmmm

Wrong Again! Just because I don't post doesn’t mean I don't read. You have a real problem. In my whole post I made one statement about Vick, the rest of my post was about your arrogance in telling another poster about how losing a loved one would hopefully make them a better person. You have no idea about what I think of Vick other than it is not my place or yours to judge him or the people who like him. Every single thread I click on about the Eagles or Vick on topix you are there going on and on and on about Vick. I normally just shake my head and move on thinking this person needs to get a life? But really someone has a loss in the family and you write five paragraphs of the usual BS you post and then end it with hopefully it will help make them a better person. Sound to me like Vick is not the only one with character flaws.

P.S. I don't know who you think I am, but as you can see I have had this sign-on since 9/07 so that would make you wrong again.

Sorry for your loss Angry Bird..since animals canot speak for themselves, we have to speak up for them..What Vick did, no normal human would ever even think about doing..Vick is a sociopath, he will always be watched closely and needs to be watched..if people just move on and forget about what he did, he will just go back to doing what he did..torture and killing dogs..he got away with this for years, and if he did not get caught, it would still be going on now..losing a family member or a pet are both horrible experiences.

and being a public figure; his lack of remorse sends a resounding message to urban kids. message?
whatever you do,no matter how wicked; don't get caught! this is not about killing dogs in the most prolonged, horrific ways,it is about a man who
did what made him feel godlike, with no regard for anyone or anything.he is the same self absorbed moron,he was in atlanta or VA.gr has learned nothing!that is a true sociopath.as I have said since watching him in Atlanta strut and brag;he will self destruct. it is just unfortunate that he wasn't stopped by society, because of the greed of the NFL.henever should have been allowed to play under contract.

PS.mvfan; this blog is about vick and why his evil ways should not be forgotten.it is not about his kool-aid drinking advocates.really, anyone who sees an ounce of good in this cretin, is naive, uninformed or so racially biased, blind to the plain truth.

PS.jmvfan; please take notice of the title heading this blog.one of many doubting vicks ability to change his ways,on or off the field.like I said all along,he will and is selfdestructing.
he will be remembered for his killing enterprise and savagery, not football greatness.

Sorry! I guess that makes ok to act like an arrogant jerk. If the article is only about Vick why the five paragraph post about hopefully losing a loved one would make another poster a better person.

Typical absurd "Deranger" mentality.........trying to compare beasts to that of humans.

I post under two. I am the only one here unafraid to give my true name! Genevalove is for my dog, who saved my life. Any more questions? And losing a loved one, should make one more introspective. I have been attacked by angry bird, who I lovingly call "turd", for being an animal advocate.

That shows the same lack of empathy and sensitivity as mikedewaynevick. If he has suffered a family tragedy, I would hope his childishness and lack of feelings for tortured animals, may evolve into a better person. But, I doubt it. Just like vick is what he is(uneducated savage); turd, seems unable to think outside of himself. nancyelizabeth green(GENEVALOVE)
