Thanks for memories. Humm, cannot recall one thing that stood out about your stay in SoFla other than you were a solid backup. Good luck sticking around the NFL for another two years.

Thanks for the good years Jeff but the fins need to get younger and young guys can't get better unless they play. Bring on the late rounders and free agents and lets find the next starter.

All right guys no singing the blues the next couple of years if our defensive front colapses. It was our only strong point the last few years. Right now we are very thin and you forget about Jasons Taylors bad back. Also you think the defensive line coach just did not sign the extentsion they wanted because he did not like South Fla. He knew what mgt was going to do and he did not want to wait around and be part of the carnage. Next year the assistant coach's that stayed on with the Dolphins this year are going to probably get the brunt of the blame for alot of these decisions being made right now.

Come on, phintim, he was dumped by the Fins. He had no choice but to find a new job. It is not the picture you just painted.

Good back-up... Time for our young bucks to step up. Time to move on again. Who's next to be cut?

I agree, he was a solid tackle and even made some outstanding plays. Hard to believe he was 37. It'll be interesting to see what they draft. They shouldn't deplete the defense. It's the only thing with any merit right now.

Are you serious? We're thin? With Holliday, Traylor, and Taylor? Zgonina was 37 and not getting any younger, his departure is far from the terrible picture you painted. Same with the line coach, new head coach generally means new personnel.

Good back-up... Time for our young bucks to step up. Time to move on again. Who's next to be cut? Dolphins should have resigned Jeff for 2 more years as a solid back up, we now need to push Roth more so when our Nose Tackle retires he will be able to step right in. Thanks for memories. Humm, cannot recall one thing that stood out about your stay in SoFla other than you were a solid backup. Good luck sticking around the NFL for another two years.
Jeff you are going be ok. with the Texans, they need a solid Defensive Tackle, with leadership who has a superbowl ring!

Especially with us apparently going to a 3-4, Jeff isn't needed anymore and will probably get more playing time in Texas.

Now the Dolphins can push Roth more making him into a solid back up for atleast 2 to three years replacing Jeff Zgonnia
he would have been 37, and he was a solid Back up our Depth Charts are not going to be the same.
Jeff Good luck sticking around with the Texans they have a young Defensive Line!

The 3/4? Where's our fourth lineback or should I jsut assume its Derick Pope. If your counting Jason Taylor now you have a real problem becauase you are left with just one defensive end on the dolphin roster Roth. Yes I know Zgonina had no choice about being let go along with Carter, Bowens, Wilkinson etc. Of course David Bowens could be resigned and now also it looks like Wilkenson is not going to show up for his physical with Denver also and we loose one of those draft picks thats suppose to the save the franchise. Of course it was just a 6th rounder who cares!

Right, Roth will topple the defense with guys like Taylor, Traylor, Holiday, Crowder, thomas, and Porter ou there. Now with 37 year old Zgonina gone we're done. ridiculous.

Zgonina was a solid backup for the dolphins. He knew how to step it up when his number was called. Good luck Zgonina! Hope you will be blessed. But don't forget Dolfans that Fred Evans(DT) did show alot of promise last year and remember a guy name Rodrique Wright the big (DT) that we drafted last year with shoulder injury, well he was a standout in college and who knows maybe. Just maybe..Manny Wright may come to form. So we do have some depth potential although it's young and unproven. Obviously the coaches feel that there is some great potential there. As for as Matt Roth is concerned he is more of a defensive end pass rusher type in this hybrid 3-4 defense that the Dolphins run.
