Please forget about Green. No more band-aids at QB. Everything is good so far, don't ruin it by throwing away a draft pick on washed up has been.

I don't like the thoughts of trading a draft pick for a soon to be 37 year old QB coming off a major concussion. Miami has done some good work so far, and I would hate to see them trade a pick for Green.

I would admit, that Green last year would have looked good when you consider the Phins were perceived to be 1 or 2 key players away from having a dominant offense. With that being said and the dismal performance of this offense, I t is quite clear that we are not a player a way, this offense needs a major overhaul and we would be better served keeping Daunte and drafting a quality franchise type guy to replace Cpep as soon as he is able to get in there and perform.

Forget Green too expensive and doesn't fit the pices we need.

Get a young QB if we need one so bad at least we have a little depth there right now. The offensive line position is more pressing right now followed by the secondary, running back, full back, tight end and a now very thin defensive line.

Green would be great depth IF he comes CHEAP. Don't give up a draft pick or big money for this guy. The only thing I can think is that Cam wants a mentor for the QB he is going to draft. Daunte does not appear to be the mentoring type. Hated losing Jason Garrett for that reason. And adding Stalworth and Schlesinger would be awesome. Getting fresh blood in here is always a positive. Keep flushing the toilet and letting the losers on the offensive side of the ball go.

Trent Green would be fine, if:

1. He comes cheap; no draft picks (unless it's the 7th rounder from the Patsies!! hahahahahah)
2. They put an offensive line in that can protect him.
3. Give him some weapons.

He isn't Mr. Playmaker. But he does throw a decent ball, he's smart with the thing, has some mobility, and can be a field General. He needs a team around him. Receivers that can actually catch a football. A dependable tight end. Ronnie and Ricky can catch. If he has people he can dump the ball off to I think he'll be fine as long as he's cheap.

Wonder how much interest the Dolphins had in other QBs.. What about Brad Johnson, Patrick Ramsey? Tampa got Brad pretty cheap, right? Think the Dolphins cut Culpepper IF they sign a veteran QB at some point (after draft) before the season.

I think they're going to get Green just to push Culpepper, draft another one, and groom Cleo.

Something's bugging me though. Cameron was on the other side of the Cleo/AJ trade. Why DID they trade Cleo for AJ? Was their GM just stupid, or did Cam stamp his thumb on it?

I wonder how the defensive tackle out of UT is coming along? He was expected to be a 1st-2nd round pick before going on IR (before the preseason) for tearing his rotator cuff in college. Hopefully that invesment may pay off in some way...
