We can bash all we want, but what good does that do? Yeah, OK, venting makes us all feel a little better, but we've got to believe in our Bears. Time to win out the rest of the regular season and have the Vikes & Packers fall flat on their faces (just like that Oscar-winning performance by Ol' Gus.) GO BEARS!!! BELIEVE!!!

The Vikes or anybody else for that matter could have had Grossman last offseason. They all passed. Not one other nfl team thought he was worth signing. What do fans of Rex see that 32 different well paid fully staffed nfl decision makers didn't. Do a search on 2008 nfl free agent qb's to see what the market looked like. Any decent qb (by nfl standards) would've been a hot commodity considering the class overall. He was passed over because no one thinks he can play. Except some Bears fans who think Rex took us to the superbowl????
Rank Name Current Team Status
1. Rex Grossman Chicago Bears Signed extension with Bears
2. Daunte Culpepper Oakland Raiders
3. Byron Leftwich Atlanta Falcons
4. Josh McCown Oakland Raiders Signed with Dolphins
5. David Carr Carolina Panthers Signed with Giants
6. Quinn Gray Jacksonville Jaguars
7. Cleo Lemon Miami Dolphins Signed with Jaguars
8. Shaun Hill San Fransisco 49ers Signed extension with 49ers
9. Billy Volek San Diego Chargers Signed with Chargers
10. J.T. O’Sullivan Detroit Lions Signed with 49ers
11. Gus Frerotte St. Louis Rams
12. Kelly Holcomb Minnesota Vikings
13. Marques Tuiasosopo New York Jets
14. Trent Green Miami Dolphins Signed with Rams
15. Chris Redman Atlanta Falcons Signed with Falcons
Boy that was a lot of stuff. Hope after Rex signs with another team next year and becomes a starter sooner than later, that you'll write about all this again.

Oh Brother, it took me two paragraphs to realize this had nothing to do with the wallstreet bears.

You idiots can forget about Lovie being fired. Besides George Halaas, and Mike Dikta, Lovie Smith has a better record than any other coach we have had in this franchise. It is obvious why most of you want him gone anyway, and it is not just because of his coaching style. If Dick Jauron was here you would be blaming everything on his coordinators and not calling for his head.
I agree,Lovie has done a good job for what he has had to work with.I would say our lack of talent issues lie with Angelo! No one even thought we would win 3 or 4 games & we are at 6-6.Lovie has us in position for a division title & the Playoffs,Still! Who would have thought the Bears would be talking about a playoff appearance, this late in the season?? Angelo needs to put better people in there,to help this team.Lovie Typically has his players always overachieving for him, which is a good thing.Take Care! BEAR DOWN! GO BEARS,2008 DIVISION CHAMPS!!

We are still waiting for Orton to pile up the 100+ QB ratings to match Rex in 2006. He had 8, by the way. Kyle has 2 this year, which is commendable, but he better stack four more if he wants to be in the same conversation as #8.
Paul the NFL is a what have you done for me lately league....
Grossman hasn't had a 100 Plus rating in over 2 years (complete games). His highest rating in complete games in the last 2 years is 86 which is pretty much what Orton's is now for the season. But for the most part they are in the 50 and 60 rating over the last 2 years. The NFL knows how to handle Grossman. Grossman's level of play has been on a downward trend since the glory days of his 100+ rating....

bears would have strung five together if they didn't drop the Falcons game they gave away with 11 seconds left..........so history isn't as correct as it may seem........

The Bears will finish 1-3 with Orton. All you Orton lovers still believe that Orton "won" the camp in a close contest? He was handed the job due to the media malestrom.
The Minn game was the biggest game he ever played, and he was awful. He has yet to beat a good team.
totally agree

I don't know man, the vikes magic number is 2. granted the vikes play 3 good teams to end the year.. i can't imagine they not getting 1 win, and the bears not getting 1 loss to clich it for them...

I truly believe the Vikings will **** this season down their leg and the Bears will win the north, but that being said I think the real point is this team will be one and done in the playoffs. Hopefully it won't be an embarrassing loss. That said, any team that wins the north risks an embarrassing loss in the first round. Aside from the west division teams the north is in an sad, sad state of disarray.
