Let's see....Haugh has been wrong about Grossman, Urlacher, Gus Frerotte, etc. etc. Why does he have any credibility whatsoever?
I've come to believe in the exact opposite of everything Haugh has to say!! Fuggit, GO BEARS!! They don't deserve the playoffs, but stranger things have happened.

I hate to say it, but this team just doesn't have the heart to make a playoff run. Every time they have needed to come up big this year they have fallen flat. I guess stranger things have happened, but this looks like a team that can only beat truly bad teams and will probably get smoked at home by the Pack. If they somehow make the playoffs, it will be one and done.

No secondary!
No Offensive creativity on goal line!
No adjustments to game plans!
No defensive pressure on opposing QBs!
No accountability for failures!
No reliable receivers!
No clue!

Sounds like our local weatherman!

Hey -- what is Orton SUPPOSED to say, he's hoping they lose so he can go home and walk the dog?

I don't see why the Bears have to win out to hope to make the playoffs...look at the Queens' remaining schedule:

Detroit, Arizona, Atlanta, Giants

I think that without the Fats, the Vikings could beat Detroit, only, out of those teams. Even that may be a stretch if they're suspended for that game and Detroit actually gets hungry for its first win of the season...I don't think Detroit really has a chance either way, but it's always possible for any team to beat any other team if they bring their game.

The Bears have 3 games they should easily win: the Jags, Saints (with two top defenders suspended and Deuce out), and the Texans. The Packers are the toughest on the schedule, but honestly, I believe the game in GB earlier this year was a fluke win...the Pack are not THAT good and the Bears should be able to pull out a solid victory at home. Overall, the Bears have a great schedule for making the playoffs, and I just don't understand why people think they need to win out when you look at the Vikes' schedule.

Just for the sake of covering all the bases in the NFC North, the Pack still play:

Texans, Jags, BEARS, Detroit

If they lose to the Bears, I think it's safe to say their hopes are done for the season.

Loose the rest, I mean even if they make the playoffs Its a first round loss. Get the better draft pick, and some players with heart.

If we win out from here.....didn't I read this article last year? Whenever it was, that phrase is getting old.

Boy, wouldn't it be great if we won our division and got to the play-offs! There's nothing like watching your team get pounded in the first round.

But if we do make the play-offs, at least then we will know Orton is our guy for a nice long term, "live with him" kind of contract.

Won't be long now Rex and you'll have your freedom back. But this time, make a better decision about what kind of coach for whom you play. Someone who wants to win, not someone who is afraid to lose.

Nice Article. Although, they did not go 4-4, they did go 5-5 at one point. Either way, instead of telling us why you think they won't go 4-0 in the last 4 games, tell us what they need to do to win out.

The Bears plain and simple are middle of the pack.It has been 2 years since they have been able to control a game from beginning to end.I have come to understand once you think they are gone, they reach out and pull you right back in.I turned the Vikes game off, rather than put the remote through TV.The 99 yard bomb turned me into a pathetic pile of mush. I am sick of this pathetic product they put on the field.

But......but......of course they're going to win all those games! The Bears already sent me a bill for playoff games!

The Bears don't need to win out. If they go 3-1 and Minn. goes 1-3, or 2-2 (with a loss to the Lions - doubtful), the Bears are in... assuming one of their wins is against GB.

I see a 2-2 finish: Jacksonville win, New Orleans loss (Brees carves up Bear secondary), Green Bay loss (Packers confident after 37-3 shellacking) Houston Win. Too inconsistent leads to many changes in the off season.
