We need to keep Lilja and Scott. People tend to undervalue the offensive line. Ours is awesome, and worth a few dollars to keep!

Well said Jeff Saturday. We knew the Colts could count on you. Good Luck Coach Dungy. I am sure you will make the right decision. Oh, and by the way. I hope the Chargers win. They show much more class than the Pats.

I think you are giving the Chargers too much consideration. Yeah they beat our Colts twice this year, but with your machine they will just be able to stand by and watch.

I agree with the Pats/Packers match-up. On paper the Pats should win. Don't under estimate the old man though. He is having fun, and when he has fun he is dangerous.

The Colts have shown they know how to get the job done to keep the players they need. And to get the players they need to compete.
While I am obviously disappointed in how the season ended. I know the future still looks bright for years to come. And, hopefully, new Super Bowl titles will follow.

I take comfort knowing that the majority of our starters will be back next year. After a loss on Sunday it's been difficult to see the forest through the trees.

Go Colts!!

Glad a lot of folks are staying!

But I wonder how many of those whose' contracts have/will expire, will be willing to take less than they're worth in order to continue to play for the Colts?

I wonder how many of the Big Guys would re-negotiate their salary in order to keep other valuable guys around?

Most of the team's salary cap numbers come from 6-7 players.

The Big Guys re-negotiate their contracts and that also frees up monies to spend on the free agent market AND on signing draft picks.

Free agency and the draft are where teams are solidified...but have to have money!

Just look at how New England has done things, the way that team has acted. You don't think that Brady couldn't "demand" to be the highest paid player in the league if he wanted to? He chooses smaller contracts so that the TEAM has more money to surround him with better players. I can't stand Brady or the Pats...but it's working for them QUITE well.

Fist, even if the Colts can retain Clark, their time in the sunshine is over. I am STILL laughing about a team with the Colts abilities lost to a team playing their 2nd string QB, RB, and TE. LOSERS. Say hello AGAIN to Mr. Choke, Peyton "the commercial man" Manning.
Second, they really need to keep Clark - he is one of the few real men on the team and it is obvious that he is a classy guy. I just hope that someone else doesn't thrown him lots of money to get him to move.

Not to start anything, BUT, if Tony retires, would it not be a great time for the team to put out some really discreet feelers on some of our players who have been here 8-10 years, are considered at the top of their game ?(How long before the 'top' becomes a slippery slope ?)
I imagine with the name recognition, we could get some really good young players who are anxious to make a name for themselves in the league.
Like I said, not to start anything, but, now would be the ideal time to maybe consider something along these lines...

I agree that the Colts should be better next year and it will be difficult for the Pats to improve but the teams should be fairly evenly matched again. I would also think the AFC will once again be a bit stronger than the NFC.

Not sure why you feel the Pats have less class than the Pats. Wasn't it just Sunday when Rivers and the fans went at it, and wasn't he the one on the sideline yelling at Jay Cutler and the Broncos. If you lived in New England and were able to see the many player interviews before and after each game I am sure you would not feel the Pats have no class.

Can you tell us one time when you heard the Pats coaches and/or players say anything negative about the teams they will play or have played? The Merriman type dancing on the Charger logo last year set off LT and perhaps was over the top but if that's the only thing you have it is a weak argument.

Please don't use the playing all of their players for 60 minutes or running up the score because we have all seen the benefit of how the reverse of that works with the 4 teams eliminated this past weekend. This is the NFL not some high school league and each player wants to play, or should want to play, each down as if the play or game meant something.

The Colts, Chargers, Jags and Pats were great this year and it has made for a very exciting playoff. Let's enjoy what was and is being presented.

SB - Pats and Packers, with Pats on top in a great game!

My co-worker and I were talking about this last night. The Colts will do nothing but improve this next year. Especially Gonzalez and our defensive unit as well.

Now that the hurt doesn't hurt quite so bad. We all pray we have a healthy team next year. That was our downfall this year. Too many guys in street clothes on the sidelines every game. They were just a tad rusty Sunday, should have been played sooner, but that is hindsight, but hopefully a lesson learned.
Now it is go PACK!
