Hmmmm... How many people make $2 million working for 20 years? Not many... Most will not make a million in 20 years. Maybe he should retire and look for a new job making less money. Professional players are never happy with the money they make for working out and only hard for 1 game a week for 16 weeks and practicing for 6 or 7 months.

Well I guess a guy can't say [email protected] here. Oh well :)

Listen, Jeff... you're a skinny overachiever who's had a solid career. And it's beginning to wind down (what are you now, 38?). So stuff it. You signed a contract. Play or quietly leave. Or, heck, just leave.

Crap like this makes me sick.

If the team decided they didn't want to pay you what the contract calls for, you'd be screaming your stupid head off. You signed the contract, now play or quit! I'm quite sure someone else on that team wants to be there and could do the job as well or even better. This stuff burns my butt! He's says "I want to be there", no you don't or you would be there.

Ironic that someone with such great grammar skills would come in here and say he doesn't care about football or the people that worry about it.

Since you don't care about football, why'd you waste your time reading the article and commenting?

fool.

you know... it's all about money money money. What about the love of the Game? A man like Mike Alstott has character and class... a man like Warrick Dunn is someone who children can look up to. These are supposed to be role models for our children. Jeff- you are a whiney cry baby. Try getting a real job and then complain about making $2 to play for a couple of months. Pfffttt.... just retire. Do us all a favor. Jacka$$

There's only one thing keeping us from playing in the NFL... Talent! The fact is this guys got it and Gruden is just not a very good judge of talent, that's the real problem. The NFL salaries are what they are, and if you think it's too high don't support them.

I LOVE football and I think Jeff did a good job last year . Look where the team finished the year before. The rookies get paid way more than the older proven players and they don't even play the whole season..

The Bucs are learning what the 49ers, Browns, Lions and Eagles learned--for all that he claims to be a team player Jeff Garcia is a whiny, self-centered idiot with delusions of grandeur. He thinks he's a much better QB than he is, has been given numerous chances to prove it and never has. And he's BEEN paid--when he was with the 49ers he made millions and he got a $5 million bonus when he signed with the Browns. He's not hurting for money unless the Playmate's racking up the credit card bills.
