Six pack of PBR? Too much. Highest I'll go is 3 bottles of Buckhorn or 3 bottles of Coors. Dealers choice.

I don't understand why the commissioner is holding this up. He was supposed to reinstate Favre within 24 hours of his petition, period. The two sides are always free to reach an agreement, if both sides agree. Delaying just gives one side (the Packers) an advantage in this stand-off.

Thompson is so terrified and egotistical he would rather pay Favre 20 million dollars than see him in a Vikings uniform. That is halarious!! What a weenie!!

All from LA, all type the same type statements. A weak attempt at the same person logging on under false names creating a large false fan base? The only way a major city without an NFL team can generate bandwagon fans?

Spent almost 12 hours replying to himself using these fake names? Obviously gets no women…men only? No life?? Has a new butt buddy in “Brady 2 Moss”???

As a Vikes fan I have always respected his play and competitive spirit. I wouldn't mind seeing him wear purple ( can't beleieve I would ever say that ) But I will lose all respect for him if he takes the bribe. If he really wants to play the money shouldn't be an issue. He already has plenty and he would be paid well by the Vikes. If he takes the payoff I will lose all respect for him. It's his perogative but then don't tell me it's all about playing the game. Because it's not

I agree with "Happy" this is supossed to be about "playing ball" as he put it not money. If Favre takes the cash it be a stupid financial move, is'nt he gauranteed to get 12 mil a year for the next 3? that seems to add up to 36 million and he will get to play game one cause Rogers will be put out of everyones misery by J. Allen. I dont think any of these guys has a brain left in their heads.

Favre should take deal and donate ALL $20 million to something like cancer research - something ALL football fans will benefit from in one way or another! He's gonna have to scrape to come out of this mess showing any kind of class. The Pack came up with a good way to guilt him into submission, no?!

I would welcome him here but doubt Childress` ego could handle, after all it`s all about Childress in his own mind, hell Brad Johnson knows more about quarterbacking and you see what happened to him. Childress has that little man syndrome.

So he sits at home for a decade and collects twenty mil; pretty good gig. Let him. If it's a money thing to him, then we don't want him.

Not about the money? To a point I believe it. This guy has all the money he and his grandkids will ever need. It's more for getting back into the limelight again. He's an addict, plain and simple. He needs to be the center of attention.

But if I was offered 20 mil to make personal appearances for the next ten years instead of getting my brains beat in my wife would say "take the money you idiot."

He's a guy like you and me. He has a wife who I'm sure is telling him, "listen, you're able to walk upright, you're healthy and not dingy in the head from concussions. TAKE THE MONEY."

This may be stupid, but doesn't this set a bad precident if he takes the money? If so, what would stop, say Dallas paying a guy on Washington to "retire"? If the money is right, wouldn't the player just opt out of his contract and take the payoff and "retire"? Seems like a bad pot brewing to me, but maybe i'm just thinking to hard.

I think it's BEYOND pathetic that the commissioner has not signed the reinstatement papers. He's interferring with a football players' free will to come back and play. I think football fans should be outraged. Let the chips fall where they may. Obviously Favre isn't as big of a fan of Green Bay football AS the GB fans are of Favre. Who cares. Let the man play. It isn't Green Bay's legacy....it's Favre's legacy. The Commissioner should be FIRED

Can't wait for the Vikes to clean out GB's clock on MNF opener (with or w/o Favre)! I predict 44-17 Vikes.

Because it is a player on another team who is under contract with said team.

Last thing I will say about Favre. He was supposedly offer this same deal back in March and either turned it down or said I'll think about. Then he says he wants to not just play, but start. Period. Oh, but I don't want to start for any old team or even a team like the Jets, who would have a very good chance of making the playoffs IF he were there. No, if he can't start for the Pack, he wants to start against them.

This a grudge fight between him and a moronic GB management. Period. And he's been using the Vikes as leverage against them. If he REALLY wants to play and start, if it's all about the game, why not consider the Jets? No, he has shown his hand. The fact that he is now even reconsidering this deal means he:

A) is full of shit and has been all along!
B) no longer has the will to fight!
C) is one stupid waffling son of a bitch!
D) is all of the above!

Whatever the case maybe, ask yourself: "Self, is this really the kind of guy you want as your QB, your leader of the offense, the guy who would take us to the promised land?" No. Leave his sorry ass exactly where God left Moses - watching from the bleachers.
