A good outlook....But Again it all rests on the offensive line and to score points you need a good one. I don't think it's there.

As long as everybody on defense stays healthy, opposing offenses will feel like they are going against a black hole. Hopefully we will have a solid front 4 in Burgess, Kelly, Sands, and whoever wins the other DE spot. The last Solid front 4 I remember was Trace Armstrong, Rod Coleman, Sam Adams, and Tony Bryant. The last one that featured all pros was Anthony Smith, Chester McGlockton, Darrell Russell, and Lance Johnstone. Probably the best one ever was Howie Long, Chester McGlockton, Nolan Harrison, and Greg Townsend.

Five things to love about the Oakland Raiders-
5. Very charitable when it comes to turnovers.
4. Dosen't play too complicated, makes game planning a pleasure.
3. Makes most draft picks for fringe players leaving the sure bets to everyone else.
2. Dosen't let you get bored with facing the same coach too often.
1. And the #1 reason- drum role-
AL DAVIS IS STILL STUCK IN THE 60's and dosen't plan on getting out anytime soon!

1. Solid secondary just got better with 2 all pro corners instead of just one and a true strong safety allowing the other to go free

2. Big play maker threat added on the offensive running attack

3. The Law firm will pick up where they left off last year

4. Russell will be in camp and become a solid QB

5. This will be the year we escape our own black hole.

this is for all the true raider fans, with our outstanding defense the offense needs to score only 14 points a game. However with D-mac and J-Russ and faster receiver is see us scoring between 17-21 points a game

We should have a great Defense...But I sure hope we score more than 14 a game...Our O-line will need to step up for us to be consistent in scoring 17+ a game...

another thing to know is that because offense did not do great. defense would get tired after while, constantly having to go back out there more often than they should have. we have to believe and know that 08 will be diferent. if last years RAIDERS showed inprovement without the russels, and the mcfaddens and halls the wilsons and so on, than i would have to agree that RAIDERS will score 17+

I would perfer to be like that Ravens championship team and keep opponents from scoring alot of points and let our running game eat up time of possession. I love SEC football and trust me we've got the best QB and RB from that conference in the past 5 years only Manning and Bo Jackson was better overall

Easily score more. Look for the Raiders to show less OL penalties due to consistency in the QB. That being the case, less drives will be stopped and more time on the offensive side of the ball. That translates in a strong D in the 4th quarter.
And with the starting QB having actually attended summer training camp, the play book will go beyond the basics. With the tools that the offensive side has, the O coaches are licking their lips with greedy anticipation of this coming season.

Yeah I agree that the offensive line will be much better than most hater give us credit for Harris is an above average run blocker and on passing down I feel that the back could help out. I like McQ better that cornell greeen and mario henderson for rt tackle

the most penalized team in the nfl? before, i would not mind it a while back because RAIDERS, would beat up on other teams and we would find a way to win despite the penalties.(lol) now? penalties have hurt us and kifin, needs to adress that even more.football has gotten too strict. fighting is not fun anymore in the nfl! it's true, now consistency is encouraged.

im not a raider fan, but i would have to disagree with this. i dont think their is as good as you think they are. the raiders do have the best cornerback tamdem but i dont think they have the d-line to be that good. derrick burgess is going to be only guy that teams have to worry about on the line. and im not really sure if tommy kelly is worth the money that is being given to him. you have decent LB's but not the greatest. huff and wilson i think will have a good season playing with asomugha and hall in the secondary.

I agree with you that our defensive line is a little suspect however I feel that kelly will have a breakout year and Sands will step up as well. We're also looking for a veteran DL. Imagine Sands and Sam Adams plugging up the middle and our lightning fast LB's Morrison and Howard flying sideline to sideline for big hits. I hope Ed Hartwell can step up so we can move Morrison to the SLB. With our LB's we dare teams to throw over the middle or underneath

and another thing azb, i dont think the raider offense will even put up 17-21 points a game. because this is jamarcus russells first year starting and quarterback is the hardest position to learn. it will take him about 3 years to become good and i hope he does. mcfadden has potential to be good but i think he just might be the biggest bust of this draft. look at reggie bush when he came out of usc. he hasnt done much and just might be a huge bust. he can still be good if the saints use him right but they didnt even before mccalister got hurt. adding javon waker was a good addition and hopefully he is ready to go so jamarcus has somebody to throw to this year. as far as your o-line, kwame harris is a good player, green, wade, and gallary are all decent lineman, and i know nothing about carlisle.
